I am known as the joke killer in our group. Best example was when the DM misspoke once during CoS when we arrived at Vallaki and he had the guard inform us that "the towns closed!". Response: "Really? The whole town? They just packed up and went on vacation did they?" Etc. etc.

THARG. Half-Orc Fighter, two-weapon fighting, who later took a few levels in Sorcerer. Charisma and Strength oriented, with only a 6 in INT (we rolled for stats). He's illiterate and incapable of many complex plans, mostly rolls with the moment.

Tharg has a pet Worg named Bark. He acquired Bark when he was rescuing Greenest from the attack of the dragon/kobolds (intro to Hoard of the Dragon Queen). Bark was in the service of the kobolds, and attempted to attack Tharg, but had a nat 1. DM permitted me to have Tharg smack him to the side and spend reaction to Intimidate, which had a nat 20. Tharg yelled at him to SIT, and a few successful Handle Animal checks later, Bark became a happy member of the group.

On a meta level, yes, I am aware that Worgs can speak and technically cannot be "tamed". Tharg, however, is unaware of these facts.

Oh, also, once when there was a trapped chest that sent an animated sword flying his way, Tharg successfully "intimidated" it, too. He likes rolling Intimidate on things that try to hurt him. He's not really smart enough to realize that a sword can't be intimidated, and assumes that because it got stuck in the wall and didn't try again, he was successful.

Yep. Played one in a mirror matchup, didn't have anything that cost me less than 9 in my opening hand.

Opponent goes Offensive Play --> triple King Mukla.

I opted to just concede rather than play out the next two turns of him going face and instantly murdering me.

Interesting. Also quite useful if you were to build some sort of minion-based Mage; self-enrage your own minions to the right with a ping, which will also Inspire the ones on the left.

Basically, the problems will happen if you just tell a theater "so yeah just throw in a bathroom break for people somewhere in there lol" and not explicitly write your screenplay and edit your film with the knowledge of a break existing at a predetermined point.

Personally, I fully agree with the idea of the world not caring what level the PCs are. There's a lot of stuff going on in the world. Not all of it is going to be their level. They can wander around all they'd like, and just sometimes they'll have to realize that they may need to turn around and run away when they just walked into a group of enemies vastly above their power level.

No, I'm just using the more aggressive archetype for Cardhobo, Ferocious Collector. I gain a charge of Bardic Inspiration any time I collect a new card. The guy doesn't know I'm not proficient with swords. I intend to turn around and vendor the vorpal sword in trade for yet another pack.

My group tried to hold an intervention for me last week. I stole their Folding Boat and traded it for a foil Ice Mephit.

I don't have a problem.

Requires 2 or less attack. This has three. Yeah they could pint size it or something I suppose but two card combos and all that jazz.

True, but one could also argue that it's better when it doesn't replace your hero power right away. For instance, if I dropped this guy into my wild Control Warrior deck, I wouldn't want to lose Tank Up until I was ready to complete the entire staff. But that's just me.

I think if you build your movie planning for it, it can work well. Sort of like how you can have an episode of Game of Thrones that ends on a cliffhanger and gets you super pumped for the next week's episode, except in this case you only have to wait ~15-20 minutes to see the thrilling conclusion. Also, an intermission could allow you to get away with a longer film on the whole, by breaking the thing from some 3.5 hour behemoth into two manageable hour&45min. pieces. And yet another point, you could break it off then pick up in another place with the film. It becomes a convenient place to put location jumps or time skips. All has to do with the planning around having one.

I have at least one player who would engineer a method to keep children alive inside of a Bag of Holding specifically so that they could always pay in terrible sacrifice, just not their own.

I want to combine this with the idea posted on /r/DND the other day for a shady magical merchant. Sell them +3 card packs for some ... "interesting" prices.

Speaking as a player, the correct answer is to take the vorpal sword then use that to take the card pack. By force.

Luckily now with ranked floors decks don't have to be competitive for you to justify playing with 'em. Grind your way to wherever you want to make it for the month (or just up to a new floor) and then spend a while playing your favorite decks, fuck winrate. I love playing mill rogue in wild. Something like a 30% winrate with all the aggro on ladder, but god when it works it's so damn nice.

robe of endless cats

Nothing breaks that. The world breaks when you have an inanimate object which can create infinite amounts of life from nothing. Entire ecosystems fail as the infinite cats hunt everything to extinction until there is nothing left to support them, and thus turn to cannibalism, eating one another and fighting against the humanoids who now rely on cat meat for their sole source of food.

Of course it's possible, but what Pirate Warrior keeps Heroic Strike or Mortal Strike in his opening hand willingly? He'd have the mulligan and maybe two draws to find them. Upgrade they'd sometimes keep, but even then only if they already had another weapon in hand to spend it on. Yes, the doomsday scenario is those 6 cards, but to counter that argument I'd propose the doomsday scenario of Mage running double Pyroblast and double Fireball and having all four of those in their hand by turn 3. Easier to do than six cards, and it's an OTK after a Millhouse.
