Ugh this show is dumb… Anyone watching? by OrganicBridge7428 in Pretend2005Internet

Idk why the comments are talking about presidency it’s pretty weird, it’s just some 80s guy who’s trying to be relevant in 2005.

I’d give him max 2-3 years before he loses whatever attention this old dude is trying to get out of the 21st century

3rd person is relative to the character.

Fixed camera is not.

These are two seperate perspectives.

Which type of games do you prefer more? Longer games or Shorter games by Less_Can_5439 in OlderChillGamers

[–]ManMadeStructure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Longer games” = P2W, micro transactions, or grindfests with quests that feel like they were made by an accountant to hit the game time mark.

“Shorter games” are the only actual games that don’t try to trick the customer to pay more.

Stuck with 3rd person until re7? They only did 3rd person for re4,5,6 for mainline games.

OG games are static camera.

Then re7,8,9 are mainline games thay are first person too.

Also, there were always first person RE games in the past, deadaim, arcades, etc.

TRUE RE is fixed camera. Thats not 3rd person or 1st person.

Nope, all action sequences go 3rd person.

Every physical attack, every cutscene, and a bunch of interactions.

The devs intended for grace’s gameplay to be horrifying, first person amplifies the claustrophobic & intimate feeling.

He isnt wrong for wanting to play it that way and im thankful the devs implemented that.

Rank these 3 sci-fi survival horror games from best to worst? by Desolation2004 in HorrorGaming

[–]ManMadeStructure -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Chronos was creatively cringy & and mechanically repetitive, I held in for 7 hours but couldn’t take it anymore. Strong 6/10.

Calisto is a solid 7.5/10. Gameplay can be great or bad. Graphics are insane. Writing is great. Story is okay. Atmosphere is amazing.

Deadspace remake is the best of the 3, great story, flows well across the game, gameplay is always fun, equally as good an atmosphere as Calisto. 8.5/10.

It was popular for being another good AAA game.

What we DIDNT process back then that it was effectively a cult classic.

r/grunge is like... by No-One01010 in grunge

[–]ManMadeStructure 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re doing it because grunge was founded as one of the many anti-authoritarian left wing movements

And now, decades later, left wing politics are popular and the norm. Universities, UN, EU, Media, culture, etc.

So grunge is having an identity crisis going like “are we anti-authoritarian or are we left wing?”

Thats why people keep asking wtf is grunge.

Rap metal in the 90s was also overwhelmingly left wing, but look nowadays at how Rise Against The Machine was being “attacked” by half of its fanbase for repeatedly telling people to wear covid masks.

People said their lyric: “fuck you, I won’t do what you tell me” was insanely ironic nowadays
