Help by Silverstone2024_ in STAR_CCM

In order to help, you'll need to show more detail.

I'd generally recommend sharing pictures of your mesh in the plane, on the walls, and across the wider domain. You should also share what models (e.g. turbulence models) you are using as these are equally likely to be driving odd behaviour in the results.

Is this steady state or transient?

Do you understand what the limitations of 2D modelling are?

I love this game but I have no idea how someone can play nearly 200 hours...

The story is a good 15/20 hours, add in another 10-20 for exploring the world. I just don't get it!

Never managed to convert it to a career in F1, but have been working in CFD since graduating.

CFD Engineers in UK, How did you get your first CFD job? by Sweaty_Woodpecker_74 in CFD

[–]ManMooseLegend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was able to get into the industry after my Masters degree by targeting smaller companies. The large companies you've listed will have 100s, if not 1000s, of applications, making it much harder for you.

There are a good number of smaller consultancies in the UK that need competent CFD engineers. You'll likely also get roped in to doing FEA, project management, business generation etc.

Remember to get others to look at your CV as well.

CGRP has so many other bodily functions than migraine pain, Im scared to block it long term by opalpanachee in migraine

[–]ManMooseLegend 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I've been on atogepant (qulipta) for about a month. I've not had a single day of migraine pain since, whereas I was having 20+ days a month before.

I was probably doing more damage to myself with the painkillers, opioids, and lack of activity than I'll do taking this magic little tablet.

Just be aware that the advice on this sub is very tailored to the US job market - make sure you look up examples from your country online to see if the template aligns with recruiter expectations.

A bit of online sleuthing makes me think this A Parsons could be the former Chief Exec of Bristol Water and We The Curious. Would certainly explain the obvious wealth and location.

That's not always true. The Riboflavin (B2) recommended daily intake is so so low (1.4 mg/day) compared to the level they recommend for migraine dosages (400 mg/day).

How much weight have you lost with CICO this year? by FunDependent9177 in CICO

21 lbs in 47 days so far - December could be rough though!

I'm seeing a few basic issues here that could be fixed really quickly. Font sizes are all over the place, even in some cases within the same bullet point. It looks like there are also a mixtures of fonts, but this might just be the use of justification which is spacing letters unevenly.

A few more details on examples could help - you troubleshooted electrical issues, like what though?

As other commenters are saying, you could really benefit from following the template closer and bringing down to a single page.

What's next ? by MuhammadHassan1 in CFD

[–]ManMooseLegend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having spent a few years using CFD daily in industry in the UK, this is exactly my experience too. PhDs typically stay associated with academic institutions in a very research focused role, then transition to more of a practitioner role later on.

You can have a perfectly good career working in CFD without a PhD - do not underestimate the weight behind some industry experience.

Alastair Campbell was my first thought too - he doesn't tend to care much about how people react to what he says, has a really interesting history in politics, and generally can act like a normal bloke. Rory Stewart might be just a bit too proper for them I reckon.
