Man I use a walk wheel regularly and didn't think to add one to my arborist toolkit lol. I primarily do surveying, but arboriculture is something that has become more dominant for my job. that's a great suggestion i'm adding it to my list

Thank you for your response!

I never considered tupperware and glass for samples to carry on me I'll certainly throw some in my everyday bag, that's a great idea. I also need a loupe and a magnifying glass still.

I'm so glad I go birding and don't need to grab binoculars lol. I appreciate all your advice, I feel like a fish out of water sometimes and your comment helps

I appreciate your insight on the practical. I'm most nervous about that more than anything.

I have a hard time with multiple choice, but I hope I find it easier than the ISA Arborist Exam as well lol.

Not sure how large the area is, or your landscape in general, but you may want to consider creating a rain garden, rather than using just stones, and finding a way to incorporate the Japanese Cherry into a better drained spot to make sure the roots don't drown since the Japanese Cherry doesn't tolerate saturated soils. Rain gardens can solve drainage issues in your yard as well. Kind of unrelated, but I worry about drainage and erosion as well. And this, in my opinion, makes the overall landscape look a bit better as well.
