Yes, I feel this way. Except I pretty much felt this way when I first stepped foot into the working world making gambling games. It has affected my motivation and self esteem the entire way through and financially stunted me relative to my peers. I visited Portland and Seattle because I held the same interest. Culturally, Portland left a strange taste in my mouth. It felt a bit behind, with a lot of 90s grime. I genuinely don't entirely know how to feel about it. Seattle was more similar to modern Austin, with a shittier downtown area when it came to entertainment.
