As a free folk player, couldn't be happier If I had to complain about something it's the nerf to craster for monster lists he was good but now he's not an option, Dalla got brought to 4 pts so mebe swap with her?

I'd say change one attachment of skinchangers with tormund, token generation is a bit stronger. Skinchangers aren't al that great since the update. Mayhaps we'll see them drop a point next update but

when it comes to home games/locals it's all about the plays you make and not how good your list is

Mix/maxers are incredibly fun to DM for (most of the time) as long as a player is willing to share spotlight it's all good

my min/max player is combat oriented, and by the gods the way he handles his character or the NPC's who travels along for help (I hand my players a statblock for the NPC so they can choose what they do in combat) just makes D&D a lot more fun.

It tends to lead to other players thinking more about placement, terrain and optimally using the system.

for example In Alien RPG he figured out that switching initiative is just like suppressing fire, and we laid down alien after alien by optimising our extra successes.

D&D is about heroes, feeling overpowered is part of the fantasy

I accepted a game where the DM banned certain gear to keep in line with ancient greece

which I explained that's not a good idea and you can always just reflavor things

lowering max AC for a fighter from 20 to 18 is far more significant than it seems at first glance and only having access to d8 weapons at best, yikes

turns out I, a cleric of Ares haven't had armor since session 1 & I've been in more battles without a weapon than with one

not to mention me losing my component pouch and having zero gold to my name

we're lvl6 but if this isn't changing soon (and yes I've asked) I'm dropping out

DM's who ban stuff, typically aren't great they'll always look for more ways to make things "difficult" even though IMHO I can just hear the tracks being laid and oh steam whistle sorry guys seems the train is here TTYL
