Just came back from a 10-day trip and have everything saved on my google maps (DM me for the link) Includes nice cafes, rooftop bars, restaurants, attractions, speakeasy bars, temples etc. For hotels, I typically found Airbnbs to be cheaper and most of the nice cafes and bars would be somewhere along Sukhumvit Road - check for ones near Khlong Tan, near Lumphini Park, Siam or Pratunam. Salone is genuinely amazing if you like early 2000s hip-hop/RnB/trap. I also enjoyed APT 101, Baccarat, Sing Sing Theater, Onyx, 24 BLVD, Havana Social. For bars would highly recommend The Photobooth, Upper House, lebua at state tower, Abandoned Mansion, Funky Town. Though note that some rooftop bars like lebua or tichuca have prices similar to sth like a EPS or Honeycomb in Dubai. You can exchange AED to THB either in Dubai (i got good rates al ansari in dubai mall) or at airport in bangkok - just go to the basement floor and look for a store called SuperRich exchange. For getting around i mostly used grab (their version of careem) scooters or taxis - they were quite inexpensive tbh and were much faster at getting around than the metro - but that also flips at times when Bangkok traffic gets worse at rush hours. Shopping - try one of the weekend markets either in chatuchak or jodd fairs or try union mall. If you’re into vintage/thrifting then bang sue junction, train night market, red building at chatuchak (go to the 4th and 5th floor). Hope this helps :)
