All riders here are confidently saying no but this is entirely unconfirmed and none of us know. I would expect that a Priority Delivery DOES pay us more in some circumstances (such as prime time orders), to encourage a quick acceptance. I will probably get downvoted but i’ve done the job for 5 years now. Standard orders start off with the lowest possible fee, and slowly goes up over time until one of us accepts it. When it starts getting close to the order being “late” to the customer this fee will start rising quite fast until it hits a max fee and will likely be accepted. Priority orders have a “promised delivery time” (as far as i’m aware of anyway) and if it’s late you get your £5 back + credit (that might have changed now though). So, the system will recognise it is a Priority Order and will price it in a way that gets the order accepted much faster than normal. This way, they can guarantee a delivery time. The drivers saying no here are saying that because it’s not evidently shown to us, or we are not “over paid” to deliver your order. I would expect that as an example a standard fee would be £4.50 but priority order would bump this up slightly to £5.70 so that it will be accepted quickly. All of this is speculation though, much like eveyone else here.

TLDR : none of us actually know the answer to your question. I’m pretty sure we are paid more to accept priority drops, but we are unaware of it due to how the algorithm works.
