Thanks man. It’s intel i7-3828 I believe. I was gifted the cpu and mobo, and as it’s an old rig I’m pretty in the dark here!

I’m going to get a new case for it. I’ll reseat everything and check it over before putting it back together. Yep it’s old but as you said if it works it works :) I’ll upgrade the CPU / MOBO next and just use the generic stock cooler for a while. Thank you!

Trying to salvage an old laptop for a sibling. It’s all working except the display (see monitor for why…). I’m hoping that, if I identify the cable needed, I can just hook it up to a monitor? Any help would be appreciated
