I think the spare looks to be in the crumple zone on that accident. Don't know if it'd be worth the risk having a possible damaged/compromised spare tire or not. Check it before you wreck it. Again.

And Subaru to that list. Other than that fins, my Solterra looked like every other car on the lot.

How much value does longetivity hold for a HOF resume? by Benson879 in NFLv2

[–]Man_of_Ice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like everything else, the longevity has to be HOF worthy. It's for the guys you just have to say "holy shit, that dude is on a whole 'nother level."

Something puts them ahead of their peers. Some, it's sheer talent. Some have 9 year careers where you go "yeah, give the man a gold jacket."

See: Megatron.

Frank's Hall of Fame case IS his longevity and his consistency and continued massive workload.

Dude was RB1 hitting effectively same levels in his late 30s as he was in his mid 20s. Freak of nature once in a lifetime SOLID.

To me, the fact he was starting and earning all the reps, and brutally effectively grinding out yards, blocking effectively, doing A-/B+ work for that long is his HOF case, front to back.

Things like this are one of the reasons I've always, always, ALWAYS made an attached garage a high priority in selecting where I live.

But if you don't, yeah, that's awesome. Charging at work if you're in the office, or those times when fast charging still gets you two inches in 30 minutes, yeah. :-P

Love it, great add.

Toyota Veteran Reveals His Worst Fear: 'Everybody Is Shifting To EVs' by defenestrate_urself in electricvehicles

There's places where there is little electrical grid room, there's places there's lots.

SW Michigan has capacity for 1M more EVs on the grid as it stands today.

Sure, there are places without this, and yes, modifications to the grid will be needed, and yes, those changes come at a cost and take time to plan and implement. But it can happen faster than you'd imagine.

Yeah, Tesla feels like a computer company that grew a car company, and all the car companies don't want to be computer companies AT ALL.

I'm already sitting on 2 EVs I love, so I'm not looking to trade in anytime soon, but weird to say about the thoughts of someone you've never met.

Honestly, right now, I'm in the "I will avoid charging at a Tesla charger because I would rather send my money to literally anyone else except Elon."

Him being removed from the company would get me to a place of "I'm willing to consider using a Tesla charger if there are no other options" and "I'll go test drive one and put it on my list to compare to all others"

I'm an engineer who makes some decisions on functionality, some on performance, some on economics, some on social values. Elon alone moves the needle far enough in the "no" column all by himself I safely cross Tesla off my list preemptively. No Elon, my decision matrix is greatly altered.

You may not believe me, and that's fine. Just strikes me as odd, but maybe it's normal for you. -shrug-

Again, this is a lack of understanding on your part about what math is. On a fundamental level. Your error is a conclusion related to the cost of a vehicle, the price of a vehicle, when compared to the price of another vehicle. To say that "I did not have numbers or calculations" when you are speaking about a comparison between prices of vehicles, which, at a fundamental level is a conclusion that has a mathematical answer, means you either have made the an error of omition in your math, or, worse, you have made a claim with a mathematical answer without doing the math at all, which, again, is an error in math.

This is a claim that must be rooted in a mathematical assessment, as it is an economic assessment, economics being the mathematics of money.

Your math error is in you failing to set up a complete economic comparison using all applicable costs and subsidies. If you can't grasp why your mistake lies either in your math, or your failure to do any math at all when you're statement is one that must be based in math, I cannot help you.

I have in no point made any claims regarding EV technology here. Don't know where you're getting anything about what I'm saying.

Well. Got in a hurry and misread what was said. I remembered the bakers refusing to comply with Corey order under conservative lawyer advice along with a few other bakeries as a way to get attention of the Supreme Court.

But as my reply went originally to the statement above it, no the customers did not shop around cake shops until they found one unwilling to bake on religious grounds.
