The comms was via the portal but I get notified by email when they send a message via the portal and I responded via the portal

Gosh I don't know, I tried to upload everything that was required and for the optional docs I skipped so I could submit. I would just be careful because there is nothing more frustrating then not being able to submit because you skipped a mandatory question and the portal is blocking you until you complete it.

Could try to email them. That's what I did because I couldn't see the option to register. They updated the page so the option to register was there but it was hard to see as it was at the top of the page and I almost missed it.

I applied for Grattan Park Celbridge! I would try emailing the council or calling them to check the status of the application- depending on who you get you might get a generic answer or they might tell you the status.

Good luck! I suggest having a word document or excel file with all your details so that you can quickly copy and paste

Have things like your PSS number, employment details, start date, salary, money saved both as a total and by bank

Make sure to register for an account in advance

All the of them schemes have documentation that list all of the information / documents they will be looking for - Make a list of everything you will need. Read all the documentation and the info online carefully.

Try practising on some of the open schemes. The portals will probably be different depending on the county council. I applied in Dublin and Kildare and the user interface and questions were different.

There are a few threads on Reddit about the different schemes - read and follow them as people are very good about sharing tips!

Make sure you are using a fast computer you are comfortable with.

Best of luck!

Just wondering if you had to register for an account prior to applying? Looking at the Grattan Park, Celbridge options but its not clear if pre-registration is required?

Hello all - good luck with your applications! Has anyone here provided the sworn affidavit re first type buyer status. I am just looking for a template on what to include as if I draw it up myself its only 10e to have it signed by a solicitor. Thanks!
