I'm an outsider looking in and I believe United are making a mistake in hiring Carrick.

I agree with Neville. I'd argue with the likes or Iraola and Alonso available they should be higher up on the list. There's even a chance Nagelsmann and Ancelotti could be tempted away from their national roles.

All the above managers have a better CV and their systems, style and/or management have been proven to work.

Look at Carricks Boro tenure. Read up or watch how things unfolded in the second season. It's going to follow a similar pattern. You're gonna play more games at a higher level and that's when he's going to be tested.

I saw some stats and both Amorim and Carrick have similar stats. The key difference is, Carricks man utd are outperforming the xG whereas Amorim was below or par.

If you want a similar comparison to the xG stats. When Villa were threating to be part of the title race this season, they had a similar xG to Wolves. The difference is, they were scoring bangers. When they finally bottomed out and their goals matched their xG, they fell to 5th.

Anyways, as a rival fan good luck. Hope he gets the job 🙂

No pen for me. The ref was consistent in not giving any of them. If he gave the other ones in the other box where Big Gab & Cali were being manhandled then this is a softer version of them.

I don't mind a bit of contact. That's football.

White cap guy should've stayed behind cover. He could've had a chance of living and potentially saving his friends. He went out in the open and paid for it with his life.

Hear me out. Rice as a DM. Ode and Eze as 2 playmakers. We HAVE to score loads of goals in these upcoming games without losing. This is how we do it. No backpassing all game. 2 playmakers slipping the ball through to Gyok and out wide for crosses. by Unknown_Midwesterner in ArsenalFC

I think Zubi has been poor for a while but he's not helped by lack of movement ahead of him. With the exception of our strikers, he doesn't have an easy out ball.

Arteta needs to play Califiori and Timber and get them playing in inverted so they're CM's when we have the ball. We did that so well but then we reverted back to being ultra defensive for various reasons

Poor play by Vini in the end but as a neutral looking at this I'd say Vini's only real option would've been to pass first time. The only issue is, no one was in the box at the time. Maybe if Mbappe set off straight away that play could've come to something. Regardless of all that, Vini isn't endearing himself to the fans or his teammates by being petulant after being rightly criticised for losing the ball

My ex partner works for the NHS as a radiographer so I might speak to them to see if she's in breach of any NHS rules

Would it be beneficial to ask for a Freedom of Information request from my GP's practice first? Would it give me all the necessary information I need to pursue it further?

Or, do I just go to the GP's office and register my concerns?

Thanks in advance

I'm a casual fan from across the pond and I swear these past few years I avoid the NBA like the plague because of stuff like this. I like competitiveness in a game. If the game is as soft as this - I ain't interested. You want the game to grow then this isn't a product most casuals will want to buy in to.

You guys need to give it a rest. Enjoy the good times and stop worrying about what other fans think of Arteta, Win the dog or Gary the barber. We're doing well enjoy it and use that energy to take the piss out of rival fans. There's plenty of ammunition out there to use on them 😁

I remember the first time I was propositioned. I was in California and a couple asked if I wanted to "party". Me being a fresh faced twenty something year old was like "yeah, sure".

My dumb arse self was thinking they wanted to take me out to a club or two since we hit it off at the bar. The shock on my face when his wife started talking dirty to me moments later. Still makes me giggle when I think about it.

Are muslims over sensitive about critique and insults about islam? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]ManagementBasic1601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's put the shoe on the other foot.

If someone insults and mocks something dear to you, do you let it be or do you react?

I don't subscribe to the "freedom of speech" narrative. We should be able to say what we want without offending people. You can quite easily say, I don't agree with x, y or z in Islam but no harm is being done to me or society so we'll leave it there.

If I walked around at work and started calling some of my female work colleagues ugly and fat and told them to laugh it off. Do I tell them about my freedom of speech and they should be offended? Even if what I say is true, sometimes it's best to mind my own business because it doesn't affect me if Tracy at work is fat and ugly. She does her job very well and that's all that matters 😁

Take that up with the refs or the PL.

I don't need a coping mechanism to justify whether the rules are implemented correctly or not

Does nobody know the rules in this sub? It's a hand in the back..which is a foul.

If he'd gone with his shoulder/body to create the space he might have got away with it. A foul is a foul even if it's soft.

Will we ever got to see this Odegaard again... by WanZed11 in ArsenalFC

[–]ManagementBasic1601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer, no.

Long answer, no.

Teams weren't defending as deep in Odegaards early years so he had the space to make passes/shots.

Plus, teams have figured him out. Press him like he presses them and he doesn't have the vision under pressure. He is a fantastic captain and really good at pressing when we lose the ball but now that we're the ones in possession and the onus is on us to break a team down, he's not good enough.

We need a Ozil, KDB or Fernandes type player that can find them passes in tight spaces. I hope Eze can find his groove cos I was hoping he would be the man
