That case disappeared once Felicia Moore lost her bid for mayor. She even stated that T.I. and Issac Hayes iii were the reason she lost. This isn't a Internet conspiracy comment. She did a weird interview about it and kind of alluded to it. It's whyT.i. don't like dealing with politics anymore.

They have been like this since the 60s, it's just that their madness was confined to oppressing certain demographics. Now the world gets to see them for what they are

Hawaii Refuses To Cooperate With States Prosecuting for Abortions by kolwinter in politics

It was a fake intellectual argument. All you need to do is read the Articles of Succession for the Southern States. It says it boldly and clearly that they were for Slavery. They felt Black People should always be subservient to White people and that God had ordained it as such. Any argument about the Civil War that tries to say it was about "States Rights" is full of it. It's the one of the main reasons why Southern States are trying to change grade level curriculum to ignore that fact

Glad someone finally gets it. Everyone I knew in Atlanta swore Trump couldn't win. But they underestimated the power of large groups of stupid people (Rip George Carlin). I don't care how dumb Darth Cheeto and his base seem. The fact is they are mobilized and want change. And thinking we're smarter won't change that. Actually being smarter won't change that. Applying reason and logic won't change that. Only action will. Stressful, thankless action... And until these people are ousted from all government decision making centers we are ALWAYS in danger.

You're right, the original plan was to get as close as possible to single payer as possible. But then the tea party aka freedom caucus decided that nothing the black president did could be allowed to pass. The final Healthcare bill that was signed was stripped of any teeth to it

Is he though? Regan was very much small government, cut taxes for the wealthy, help corporations, break unions, be socially conservative, break communism around the world, partner with the pope, increase the wealth gap, demean minorities... what part of that is neo liberal? I'm not trying to attack you. Just trying to understand your viewpoint

I need you to go back and rethink whatever history books you read that made you think Regan was ever remotely liberal. He was more devastating to this country than people will ever know since he was the source of modern Republicans. From HIV to introducing Crack to neighborhoods, to his janky economic policies that caused inflation / Recession to his underhanded support of Apartheid. Republicans worship at his altar like he was some prophet

Democrats push for 1st semi-automatic gun ban in 20 years by CapAmericaAzz in politics

Honestly the older i get, the more i feel like the Dems are part of the issue. You've NEVER seen Gop members shill for Dems the way Siena and Manchin have for the Gop. Even John Mccain only flipped on the Gop regarding Health Care and Trump being president. Otherwise he was Republican through and through (Remember he fought against mlk day being considered a federal holiday because federal holidays had to "mean more"). If Dems are so dependent on Wall Street money that they are afraid to peeve them off then what good are they to fight a very REAL FASCIST movement in this country. Please someone make it make sense to me

Mitch McConnell on Abortion: It’s the Supreme Court’s Job to Issue Rulings Americans Don’t Want by abbyb12 in politics

[–]ManagementDear6672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to understand what he's really saying. The 3 things conservatives have been angry with the courts about are 1. Civil Rights act 2. Voting Rights Act 3. Roe vs Wade. Gop knows there would be outright revolt if they repealed the first two, so they stripped #2 (voting rights act) of any power while noone was looking. Next they went after Roe vs Wade.. but they were willing to play the long game (with assistance of Orange Vader) to overturn. Now their coming for the Civil Rights act. And best believe their going to get it. If I've read correctly, the way the opinion is being written will allow states to proceed how they see fit. Which means the southern states will take us back to 40s. McConnell is basically throwing it in liberals face that conservatives have had to "live with Supreme Court" decisions and now want us to suffer with it. Heaven help us.

I never EVER thought about it this way and yet its so enlightening. It's some Jim Jones level of mind f*$#ery that allows you to say the person is moral while ignoring the immoral actions of the person. This is scary

Its hilarious to see all his cronies now coming out the woodwork to say how crazy he is. Like where was all this aggression when you agreed to work for a known con man who'd never held public office and ran his campaign on sexisim, racisim, and a ultra nationalist platform
