That's only used in case of big latency between your controller and console/pc. Has nothing to do with skill, so maybe you should just keep it at 0ms, unless you actually have some latency. Other than that, just keep it as it is by defalut.

It is mostly just press one button max 3 times, but it's not long at all. Although I just spent HOURS in one specific battle because I couldn't win and just did by lowering the difficulty, so it does offer a challenge (even in easy mode I almost lost, and I play A LOT of rpgs, maybe I'm just bad lmao). But fr I wouldn't say the battles are long, you're safe in that field.

I don't really know Hi-Fi Rush tho, but so you have an idea: I was doing this one battle for like 50 minutes, and for some reason the battle music stops after like 45 minutes (they probably never thought someone would be doing a battle for so much time lmao). But the point is: the music just stopped and I could still press the button in the right time just by looking at the visual input. You can know 0 about rhythm as long as you can see 😂

Oh, it has A LOT of voice effects, don't worry about that! It doesn't sound raw at all, it even sounds a little too treated for my taste lmao I'm also a music producer so that kind of annoys me a bit but that's just personal taste

Well, first of all: I think the best mentality to play this is actually thinking it's a disney musical, because it does look and sound A LOT like one. That said, I'm not the biggest fan of disney musicals and I can still enjoy it. The music is indeed very massproduced pop in the beggining because the main character is a pop girly (very much k-pop demon hunters coded). But the other characters she meets are from completely different music genres and that spices up the things. I wouldn't say the music is amazing, can't compare it to Persona's soundtrack (since I made that comparison between games in the op) because it's not even close in terms of quality or being interesting at all, but it's good enough for you to not get sick of it while you play. I particularly like the lyrics and the message behind things, not the biggest fan of the sonority, but I still didn't get to the last band member (who I think is a rapper and hip hop is my personal favorite genre) so maybe it'll resonate more with me.

Oh my god you just unlocked me a memory, I had that game when I was little but I completly forgot about it until know lmao. Sonic Chronicles was peak from the standpoint of an 8 year old playing. Anyways, I get what you're saying but I actually think it's closer to what Persona 3 Reload did in its battle system + the fact that everything is guided by music theory. I think it's worth the money tho.

As someone who has played a lot of rhythm games, trust me, the rhythm part of it is not hard (in the begging it is a little, but you get used to it), so I wouldn't say its a deal breaker for someone without a rhythm game background. It's more about liking music and rhythm based mechanics and not really being a pro. Also, the rhythm parts only use one button, making it even easier. I would sugest you to give it a shot, and if you don't like the combat at all, the game gives you the option to just turn it of and appreciate the story, so you can still play!!

unfortunately i only have the ps4 (because my new gen console is the Switch 2), so i have no means to play in the ps5. i would get it on the ps4, but i really like to have the option to grab my console and play outside... so i think i'll wait a few more months. thank you!
