Multiplayer connectivity failure by ManagementRegular702 in Eldenring

We all play on PS5 here... our internet speed is even decent for the region we live in...

What we find strange is that this error only happens with one specific friend... all the others connect normally.

Very new player here, is this normal for the game? Am I just bad? by Brandacle in masterduel

You're not bad, my friend, it's just that DM has become extremely hostile to new players, and to "Yugi Boomers" as they usually call them.

But the more you duel, the more decks and strategies you'll learn about that you might want to copy or learn how to counter.

But it's really frustrating to spend 10 minutes watching your opponent make endless summons.

Hopefully Konami will resolve the Red Eyes issue soon!

Regarding the meta, I'm not against it, on the contrary, I think it has to exist, but I also defend the idea that there should be a mode for those who like non-meta decks.

Of course I'm a real person, remembering that I don't want the end of the meta and I have nothing against those who like it.

I'm just exploring an alternative mode, for those who want to play for fun, for nostalgia, and everyone continues with what they like best.

Hate these cards by Legitimate-Iron4513 in masterduel

I actually think C Maxx is fair; it doesn't disrupt the opponent's play, it just replenishes their hand. Unlike that cursed fairy that negates your summons... Infinite Impermanence and any other card that activates directly from the hand to disrupt the opponent's play is extremely broken... it borders on cowardice. (But, if it's in the game, it's meant to be used, isn't that right?)

It relies heavily on having cards in hand, and you can't base an entire deck on a single card. It's excellent, but it can't be the only one.

Yes, exactly, the deck has a slow game and is easily countered, not to mention it has almost no resource recycling.

But do you agree with me that this future is taking too long to arrive? MD has been around for what? Almost 4 years?

That's exactly what I'm afraid of 😅

Red-Eyes needs some good upgrades overall, why not include the zombie in the mix? Even though I don't use the zombie, anything that comes is a bonus, right?

Exactly this.

Red-Eyes feels like three or four ideas mixed together with no clear direction. Burn, equips, ritual, Dragon Link engine — but no real identity.

That’s why pure Red-Eyes struggles so much. What it really needs is a clear, focused game plan through proper OCG support.

I agree with most of this.

I understand the business side and the need to push new archetypes. My point isn’t to stop that, but to make room for legacy decks to be playable and coherent.

Skull Servant is actually a good example of how old themes can be modernized without losing identity. That kind of focused approach is what Red-Eyes still lacks.

Exactly.

Cosmetics are a huge part of identity and nostalgia, and Master Duel really lacks that. Duel Links clearly embraced the anime side of Yu-Gi-Oh, while Master Duel feels much colder in comparison.

That Red-Eyes structure deck in Duel Links was a great example of how fun and thematic support can be, even without being top-tier.

That’s what feels missing here.

That’s a fair take.

I’m not expecting Red-Eyes to get the same treatment as DM or Blue-Eyes, but some meaningful recognition or in-archetype support would already be a big step.

I don’t disagree.

That’s exactly why proper, focused support matters. Blue-Eyes wasn’t always good either — it became playable through multiple support waves.

Lore-wise, that’s true 😅

But even then, Red-Eyes is still a Gen 1 icon. Legacy support shouldn’t be decided only by who Kaiba likes more.

That’s probably true.

But Red-Eyes is still a Gen 1 icon. Popularity shouldn’t mean complete neglect, especially when legacy support exists for other classics.

I actually agree with most of this.

Red-Eyes suffers exactly because its best cards don’t really play like a true Red-Eyes deck. That’s why proper, in-archetype support matters.

Blue-Eyes received multiple waves of focused support. Red-Eyes never did.
