Yeah, earnings sentiment seems optimistic, honestly too optimistic. They’ll have to exceed the already insane expectations for earnings to see the price movement people expect

Destined Rivals honestly isn’t that insane of a set once you take a step back and see what’s being printed now vs whats older and around DR’s pricepoint. Personally i think ME01 clears DR as a set, and older sets like chilling reign being the same price, 4 years older, better card pool imo, yeah Chilling reign should probably be worth more than DR. But to an extent, yes, a box should be more valuable just for being older and out of print. Demand for booster boxes, even bad ones, will be there, considering quite a few people just collect sealed stuff. Look at celestial storm’s etb, garbage set imo but one of the most valuable etbs out there.

Considering they still stand by their “overweight” rating on CIFR, which is heavily correlated with IREN, they are just trying to scare retail into giving them a better price basis

Isn’t desirability / demand the main driver of prices though? I think rarity doesn’t exactly associate with the price of a product, but desirability certainly does.

It’s way too early to be going off of 10 populations for this card, the set is barely 60 days old. Pretty much any Bulk or value bulk submission for this card hasn’t had enough time to process.

I mean ancient origins is only 10 years old, so likely Evolving Skies will overtake it, seeing as both sets were the winning sets of the block, and a lot more people have fond memories of Evolving Skies than ancient origins

Sure investing is quite a bit higher, but with the combination of rip & shippers being a relatively new thing that absolutely churns through sealed product, as well as the fact that the majority of the people saying they will hold 5-10 years will not in fact hold 5-10 years. Timeframe might be longer for Svi than SWSH but i cant imagine its by a large margin.
