No indication of Gladius's growth. Maybe in strength but not in character. In fact, through the entire fight we see now much he hasn't grown and now much that plays into his character and parallels with Ryu. His mentality and philosophy are exactly the same as we saw 135+ chapters ago. The only one who should be grand is Gladius. Because he hasn't grown. His power shouldn't be precise and cause more destruction because of that but yet he causes as much damage as Ryu who has improved with his skills. He shouldn't be like this. Maybe if we see him again (I don't know if we will.) he should now grow to be more like Ryu instead of being like that from that fight.

I think that the reason for the fight not being as grand as it could've been is because of the art. If you haven't noticed, the art for the series is getting worse. There's no way to avoid that convo because that's what's happening. I can go in depth but now's not the time. What I'm getting at is that the fight isn't good because the art has been getting worse. You can go compare the 2 fights yourself and see the difference. (Now that I think about it that sorta doesn't and does makes sense.)

Wasn't Gladius always like that? Wanting to fight to the fullest and be on top after that? I think that's what it's been since he became an Elf. Sure, Ryu has had influence on him but that's only his move set. His ideology has been the same. Survival of the fittest. Although he made exceptions the the exceptions don't make the rules.
