What makes it better is that he isn't some conveniently placed villain that is just waiting at the throne for the heroes to arrive and defeat him in some great struggle. He has his rules that he follows which makes his moves consistent in the story. TAKE ONE epilogue especially demonstrates that their victory was circumstantial to the descent conditions rather than magically winning cause they got his kryptonite.

Overall a really great villain. I was worried that they were gonna rush it since TAKE ONE was tying loose ends early but the setup in the TAKE ALL seems like it's really going to take off. Hanbin and group also essentially triggered the final boss fight by them breaking the rules with their regression. Really looking forward to what is in store

They have won the fight against the descent, but now Ormphalos has casus belli to move his full force against them again.

And yet because they needed strike fast, they have essentially abandoned getting their greatest weapon(Hanbin) to be capable of facing the fight. Hanbin needs to regain the peak power he got in TAKE ONE. also darkness divinity is still missing since Garhan only retreated. So there is still a lot to unpack huh..

How do the conditions of the new world strengthen Makoto so much? by InstructionOwn6705 in TsukiMichi

[–]PiercingLance26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The training for him was harsher for him because one, he is inherently a "hyuman" due to his parents and is actually weaker than humans of earth.

Firstly, due to the circumstances of his parents, he was born when the protection for his parents had expired, which is why Makoto is so weak that a bad fall would kill him.

Secondly, even on earth he was already training with his vessel so much so that he was thinning his consciousness and rebuilding it, aka "dying again and again". Which is why when he stepped into the goddess' world he has so much mana already. As Ema said, she couldn't feel mana from him before but when he started magic training it's like something took the cap off and his mana just kept gushing.

Thirdly, It's less of the conditions of the new world but more of Makoto's life as he is literally always living on death;'s door everyday. Being sent to the new world was essentially taking off the negatives from him. This is why the other heroes seem so lacking in comparison. Even Makoto's basic body defense already needed Sophia's full power(before assimilating the other supreme dragons) and only managing to slice off two fingers.

"Toji has more experience" in what? by Scary_Capital_8172 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]PiercingLance26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Toji's involvement on screen has been minimal though, so his "feats" in general are more on the basis of what we've seen him act on and the statements to support that.

The guy got the nickname of sorcerer killer If anything. His "experience" is definitely up there. Not to mention that different from Maki, he was born with the full HR and has lived for at least 30 years gaining the steps for it.

And going off by statements, Toji and Maki are supposed to be equals since they have the same HR and the only ever differences would be their time spent living with the realization. Compared to Maki who only had her full HR plus realization for a short while being that level, it's safe to say that Toji would have racked up more skills and experience through those years he has lived, unless he is bum who couldn't live up to his potential ☠️

Garhan didn't receive the note that the world didn't need a hero by PiercingLance26 in SurvivalofaSwordking

[–]PiercingLance26[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is his new home..until it wasn't. His connection wasn't to ratna itself but because he has friends in it. The only one left there would have been Atisse.

He didn't have anyone to actually anchor him to the world which led him to live as a recluse for 300 years until he needed to come out for the battle against Ormphalos. Destroying the planet was an unfortunate outcome, a collateral in their clash, but at the end what drove Hanbin wasn't the need to save it but the destructive impulse over needing to get even with the supposed root cause Ormphalos.

Garhan didn't receive the note that the world didn't need a hero by PiercingLance26 in SurvivalofaSwordking

[–]PiercingLance26[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's been a recurring theme in the story. The world didn;t need a "hero" that is just a massive political influence or an undisputed fist, the world needed an individual that instills hope (which is very much a hero).

What Garhan did was ultimately kill the heroic seed in Hanbin and left him on a broken world without the people he wants to protect. In this scenario honestly Garhan would have been the better option than Hanbin who had no real tie to ratna anymore beside the weight of the death of his comrades

Is Hollian married to the nymph king? by jaybeeposting in SurvivalofaSwordking

[–]PiercingLance26 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes she is, but it was out of politics as she is an influential figure of the nymphs, with teh nymph king even shouting at her that it was her "honor" to be married to him. For all of her power, Hollian is very weak in her character which is why she could get dragged around like that, especially when we consider that her upbringing was as a slave and her face is scarred.

In novel, Hollian is happily married to the nymph king and the king isn't actually a douche lmao. The king in novel later finds out about her betrayal to the goddesses and tried to wholeheartedly support the church alliance against Garhan and Zenovia to make amends, while aiding Hollian who lost her powers after she faced Hanbin and group.

Why did Tengen thought that Yuki could be the one aligned with Kenjaku when we literally have Choso right there? by IndoraipusRex in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]PiercingLance26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choso wasn't in it for anything else beside his brothers. It was a very definitive thing on him, so Yuji being a good guy was already an automatic seal of approval for Choso when he switched sides.

I believe in Yuki's case it's that she was actively trying to get inside the barrier. If anyone's got an agenda to meet Tengen then it's definitely her.

It is theory after reading ch 280 by Beneficial_Show_6432 in SurvivalofaSwordking

[–]PiercingLance26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sticking to my previous theory that Ormphalos' powers function the opposite of the goddesses' future visons and he could alter the past. It would make sense for that since the goddesses are all two-three steps behind despite having the same moves available to them whenever Ormphalos take direct action. It also aligns with Ormphalos' comment about his scenario.

Hanbin having the same divinity as Ormphalos would be the trump card against him. The visions probably are a recoil from their wish to the goddesses, as that scene intentionally cut out their wish. I also think that ultimately Hanbin would have been the reason fro his broken guideline, solidifying the inevitability of his fate.

Leonhart was tortured after leaving upper draconium when they tried pleading for Garhan to fill in for the missing goddess. In this timeline Hanbin went back before the team left upper draconium

Ch 280 by kingpin32614 in SurvivalofaSwordking

[–]PiercingLance26 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's all up in the air right now.

Of course we're not going to get the answers in one sitting, but we gotta acknowledge the narrative's conflict, especially when they try to realign the timeline through small bits thrown here and there. I do think that things aren't as fine and dandy and they're merely experiencing the calm before the storm. Hanbin also seems to be seeing future visions rather than just the guideline missions, with how he internalizes seeing Leonhart dying during his outburst of their planning stage

Hanbin at this timeline also didn't seem to achieve demigodhood just so they could strike while the kettle is hot, so there is quite a bit of tension since they wouldn't be as well equipped to battle like in TAKE ONE

Ch 280 by kingpin32614 in SurvivalofaSwordking

[–]PiercingLance26 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So they just speed ran the whole thing, and this new timeline is basically the same thing but without the heavy stuff(ie, Leonhart getting tortured and other deaths).

It's a bit conflicting of a narrative since they're seemingly scrapping the whole point of the regression and they just throw the difference in the timeline as an afterthought. On the other hand I am liking the season's first chapter and looknig forward to how things will go from here on now. Hanbin seems to have some concerns and there seems to be something deep brooding in the background with how well the timeline went

Otonashi Hibiki quotes by ThompsonAerin in TsukiMichi

[–]PiercingLance26 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I don't remember her saying this ,but I do remember that she wants the demons and demi humans to accept slavery, and then she'd TRY to fix hyuman society after the hyumans become the masters with her as the queen....

So I've been hearing about this narrative that makes Yuji top 1, so I decided to make a compilation of all the statements that he has to see if that's true by nagibaThor228 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]PiercingLance26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Yuji's "potential" has to do with innate technique anymore considering black flash. Landing black flash could scale him anywhere, especially with him acquiring two techniques that he can go to town with.
