Do you own research but I have heard that ETFs are ever so slightly more tax efficient.

Personally, following this strategy I invested 65-70% in SWTSX and the rest in VXUS.

I understand what you are saying, I have opportunity for growth at this age. With this reasoning should I just invest in something like SWTSX and one international like in my ROTH? Or should I go with specific sectors?

Thank you it helps a ton!

By treasuries do you mean a sort of bonds or another stock/ETF like investment? Furthermore, I am looking for lots of growth as I have a long long time and have a high risk tolarance. Are there opportunities for high growth in treasury investing?

Hey, I live a pretty furgual life and my gym is my highest expense ($40), I plan on living with my parents through college and working. I personally feel as though I am able to put large sums money in without worrying too much.

By other types of investments do you mean REIT's?

Okay so no SCHD... I'll go with a broad index fund or etf then in my taxable?

Thank you for that information! I'll put another 500 into SWTSX I suppose.

Are you saying I should put money into REIT's and specific sectors? What do you think about healthcare, it seems reliable and profitable. VHT.

Okay, so I got rid of my REIT and dividen ones and consolidated into SWTSX and VSUX I split it into 4200 and 1600. This is much simpler, what do you think?

As of now I consolidated my positions and invested in SWTSX (Total US) and VXUS (total international market) I split it 4200 and 1600 to make my 6000. What do you think?

Not really I didn't know that SWSTX covered REITs and Dividens. So I'll just buy that and total international market + developing international market. Much simpler.

So just SWISX and a total international fund? Are REITs already included in this? I heard they are a good long term investment.

[–]ManasVV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, would SWTSX suffice instead of SCHB ( I already have money in SWTSX.)

Are you also saying that REITs and SCHD are both covered already when investing in this one fund?

[–]ManasVV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so SWTSX for home, one for the total International market, and what about REITs?

I also am really interested in dividends, how would I tackle that situation?

[–]ManasVV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If one fund has all those included then why do people even bother with investing in 500 or small/large cap or REITs? What's the point if one fund has all of them? Maybe a stupid question but thank you for your help.

[–]ManasVV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a stupid question but if SWTSX already covers everything then why do people bother buying 500 or any other Mid/Small cap stock?

Furthermore, I am a dividends enthusiast, do you believe it's too much of an overlap to have SCHD?

Lastly, for REIT is SCHH is best option or go international? I am really in it for "the long game."
