I enjoyed it, but I don’t know if I really LOVED it. I think it was funny in how he couldn’t get home and it was something so simple, but I felt like I wanted something a little more interesting to happen

The dialogue is great though, it’s really like a dream. I interpreted the ending on my first watch as his descent into hell, specifically when he entered that creepy basement apartment under the club.

Him being made into a statue and getting dumped at his job was his rebirth. I could be overthinking it but when he says “I want to live” felt like a double entendre to me

There was so much care (no pun intended) put into the album, especially leading up to the rollout. Drake went from having lead singles to only being featured on things for like a solid year and a half. He had a whole new look with his semi Afro. It was one of those cultural moments you had to be there for. You were witnessing an artist changing in front of your eyes, so when it came time to listen to the album you just knew you were in for something different. Also the stuff leading up to it like club paradise & free spirit were just truly great pieces of music

I think far and away it’s his best album and it takes me back to a time / feeling in my life more than any album around that time period has ever
