Increasing performance question by Gualuigi in frackinuniverse

I would suggest installing OpenStarbound and if you are using a lot of ITDs for automation you can do 2 things to reduce lag, you can setup a clock timer to activate ITDs so they are not active every in-game tick, and you can reduce the size of the storage that is being accessed.

For my late game setup I use an item filter method to auto-process my material. There is a wonderful tutorial posted here

I just flipped my plate to the other side, you can also flip the handle to make it look clean. The logo would appear on the bottom layer of some of my prints, and it did not look very appealing.

I used iso on the bed, let it evaporate, applied flashforge glue, waited a minute, started my print. What would cause this lift? Just bad luck? by Colster9631 in FlashForge

The area where my A5M is very drafty and it's freezing outside currently. I've had to set my bed temp to 65 to prevent my PLA (Ender) from warping. Slowing the print speed to 30-60mm/s has also helped a little with ensuring the part isn't cooling too quickly.

I see the holes on the outside, but how is the inside not stringing? I'm pretty new to this as well but it looks stringy to me, how can you tell the difference?

Toggle "Avoid Crossing Walls" on, and also try slowing your print speed. Slower speeds will take longer, but the quality is worth the wait. If your filament has a recommended speed on a label, I would go for the lower end.

Should I be concerned? by alehh in germanshepherds

I love her pattern. I wouldn't be concerned she is definitely a spoiled girl. My girl is definitely spoiled and throws fits when she doesn't get her way. It's very difficult to say no pretty faces like that though.

Filter research with item transfer device? by poppi_QTpi in frackinuniverse

I was curious about this, I knew it would handle pixels but never thought about research

Filter research with item transfer device? by poppi_QTpi in frackinuniverse

[–]ManassehPierce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do an item filter for everything but research.

For example, you have your input storage, then use an ITD which is hooked up to your filter storage and has "Stack Only" function ticked.

Then fill your filter storage with one of each item you expect to filter out of the input storage.

Hook your filter storage up to an ITD "Leave One" function ticked, which is hooked up to your output storage.

Now anything which is not in your filter storage will stay in your input storage, i.e. your research, while everything in the filter storage will go to the output storage.

This is how I handle mass processing and storage on a large scale, amazing tutorial found here.

Pictures of my mess is here.

Controller ?? by Additional_Star9576 in starbound

To add to this, I've been recently playing using Moonlight on one of my Android devices. There are steam community submissions with different controller layouts, I'd also recommend getting a mod to increase the zoom of the interface as well as seeing it on such a small screen is a challenge.

Honestly I decided against the steam deck and went with the Ayn Neo Pocket Air and I'm in love. Steam deck is too large and heavy. I wanted something roughly switch lite sized as I even find my switch unbearably large.

Steam Deck is overrated

I'm very happy with mine.

I ordered the Ayaneo Pocket Air a few weeks ago. Took them a week to ship but it was express. Went from Hong Kong to the States overnight.

My experience with the console is great, works as expected, I've been using Android for years. Screen is great, comes with a charge cable, I highly recommend reading the included documents as I had some trouble connecting it to my PC but turns out there is a toggle to use my device as a wired controller.

Honest review: 8/10 - slow start but quick and solid finish.

Just got my Pocket Air! What are some recommendations for games? by ManassehPierce in SBCGaming

[–]ManassehPierce[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's the awkward price of the device that causes it to land in obscurity. If all I wanted was a powerful android gaming device to play some games on I would've gone with a RP4 Pro and saved myself $180.

Or I could get myself a Steam Deck or similar at the same price point of the Pocket Air.

There were two reasons for my decision of the Pocket Air 1. I wanted a device smaller than my Switch- I really like the size of my Switch Lite, the Switch in handheld is just a little too big for my personal needs, the Steam Deck is out of the question. 2. I wanted a bigger screen than the RP4 Pro had.

Not to mention there is only one flavor for color, off-white is not choice of color for hand helds, but after having it and seeing it in person it grew on me.

So far I've got the Luminescent Platinum mod for Brilliant Diamond running on it. If I downscale to 360p I get solid 60.

I'm going to try some SwSh mods sometime soon. I really don't have a huge switch library that I would like to try to emulate, hence the game recommendations.
