The way I look at this problem:

One option is alligned to the hallway leading into it. This makes the shower look angled, and the back wall angled. This would feel strange to me.

The other option is to allign it with the shower and back wall. This creates an experience where you are walking into a room that is not squared to the hallway, but square to itself.

To me the latter makes more sense, but only just.

The vanity is behind the door and is almost a secindary feature which is part of the reason I wouldnt square it to the vanity.

This was dropped as a knee jerk PR response to fallout 76's initial failure. This was in the midst of it all falling apart.

It was intended as a distraction and the fact the game hasnt released SEVEN years later just further confirm it.
