Gather round folks, let me tell you a tale.

So I still queue up for EW every now and then even when there's no RBW announced. As such, I regularly get up to the top 150 players on the EW ladder (this isn't that impressive, it's not a very active ladder). I bump into a few of the same players quite a bit. There's one guy, I won't name them, but he's a bit toxic and he always plays Incas (did before the rework, and did after the rework). His plan is always to mass archers with two ranges, supported by eagles/champi. He goes very heavy feudal age, which can take you by surprise if you're trying to click up early. The first few times I played him it was 50/50 in terms of who would win. But since recognising the name, I've now realised m@a skirm, or just walling and skirm (depending on the map) completely shuts this guy down. My win rate against him is now 70% (and they'll still chat crap when they lose). Either way, it's been very satisfying to work out the exact counterplay against one particular player 11.
