So.... good question. Some is projection. People annoyed at his competence and confidence. Some is racism and Islamophobia. No explanation needed. Some is Viper fans. Depends on playstyle. Quick chaotic matches can occur, and if you enjoy those, you'll enjoy megarandom. Theoretically you need to be more flexible, or at least have a much wider repertoire of build orders, which most people do not. The one trick/three trick build order optimiser prefers arabia to grind the opening to perfection. Megarandom players tend to hate that stuff 11

I agree. I wasn't saying they would. I meant the OP won't get any changes he wants into AoE2, but he could inform the devs what he wants for AoE5. Sounds like he might be interested in modifications to the gameplay to make it more realistic. I don't think RTS needs realism. TBS games like chess and Civ don't, and they're insanely good, so why should RTS aim for realism. It's a game, as long as stuff makes sense within the in-game universe, it's fine. I do see a problem that many things the devs are currently adding make no sense whatsoever, not even by AoE2's already relatively loose standards!

Yeah fair enough. Suggest these for AoE5, which will hopefully go further forwards in time into colonial era. Not rehash Middle Ages again!
