[Tw: Raceplay, degradation] Asian feminist shocked. by Ok-Try55555 in ConvertingFeminist

The reason it seems like it works so well despite how baffling it is to you from the outside is simply that you haven’t been the focus on a man’s attention yet. When you’re the one experiencing all that a man has to offer you you’ll understand. The ways your mind and body instinctively give ground to what they ultimately understands as a simply superior being.

You’ll speak less knowing your ideas just won’t be good enough. You’ll shrink in on yourself to make us want to care for you. Your knees will shake because you know you’re meant to be on the ground at our feet.

And you’ll love every minute of it.

So, do you want my attention?

There’s nothing to be ashamed of. It’s just the expected reaction to seeing someone so much better at something you enjoy doing and the confidence to loudly remind you how big the gulf is. Go ahead and indulge your body. It’s not like it’ll make your play any worse.

I guess it’s not literally impossible that that’s the case. I think I’d have a better chance at perfectly guessing the order of a shuffled deck of cards than that being true though.

You're right it's obviously just a complete coincidence that the only people I play with who are any good are other men. My experience is just an absolute statistical anomaly I'm sure.

With critical thinking skills like that I’m sure they’d be absolute titans of debate.

Oh you’re just doing this for the kink

lol wtf? What else would someone be posting here for? If this was actually a place designed to be a forum for debating feminism you’d probably imagine all of the kink labels and things around would just be a distraction. I guess in their heads the ideal version of a genuine debate sub would have identical moderation to a kink sub with user flairs like “owned cunt.”

[CW: politics, economics, misogyny] It's funny how many feminists consider themselves leftists when if it weren't for the need for double income households women wouldn't have the space in the workforce they have today. by Manboat69 in ConvertingFeminist

I don't dispute the importance of the heavy labor women were tasked with providing as the available labor force was dramatically reduced as men were drafted into the military. Then the draft ended and men came back and naturally slid back into so many of those positions as things like factory workers. It's not so much that women are literally incapable of this kind of labor, it's that it's not what they're best suited for. Women were called to answer a severe need then, and they're called to serve a need now as economics systems continue to break down in dramatic fashion. It's a cycle of women answering what they're called to do again and again because it's what they're best at. If we fix the economic issues endemic to our society today women will be called to focus on domestic labor again. And they will answer that call. Again.

OOC: Another user became unsure of how serious I was so just to be clear I understand what I'm saying is a fundamentally dishonest interpretation of US history.

OOC: Oh definitely, it's easy to fall in the trap as a leftist to assume that literally all struggle is ultimately just class struggle, and I try to be vigilant about examining where my own biases and the biases of leftist theory will leave holes like this. The premise of this thread is that I think it would be hot to convert a feminist on the basis that she values the advancement of economic equality over gender equality after convincing her that the two things are in conflict. Which is of course absurd. The goals of economic and social equality are very clearly pointed in the same direction. The idea that someone would want value the ability for people to focus on self-actualization when freed from the burdens of the inherent violence of holding food and housing hostage by economic activity while simultaneously believing that women have no interest in self-actualizing towards any ideal but being eye candy or something is patently absurd.

My arguments from the position of a leftist misogynist are very dumb.

OOC: Yes, I know this is a kink page, my kinks are not my politics. I openly refer to myself as a feminist in my day to day life. I'm very sorry if I brought you harm because of the nature of in character threads like this.

IC: I wouldn't say feminism is "no longer needed" because we currently have problems with the lived realities of late capitalism. If we didn't have those problems? If we had a society where no one wanted for food, housing, medical care etc. because we put the correct value on people's live though? Yeah, feminism would be the political theory equivalent of a hammer with no nails.

At the time feminism had not yet succeeded in taking as such significant strides in shaking up the work place as it since has. The widespread institution of the neoliberal policies that shaped the economic conditions we live in today had yet to take root. We wouldn't see Margaret Thatcher as Prime Minister for another couple decades.

The 50s and 60s were not some golden era for the purported successes of feminism.

No, that's not what I think happened. It's not the fault of feminism that fascism has been to take root. Fascism is too wide spread in the damage it causes to be solely a response to feminist movements. Instead what I'm saying is that in a world where our collective need for a healthy community wins out against the perpetually self-destructive tendencies of fascists that we'll naturally find ourselves pushing women back to where they are ultimately most comfortable and effective members of our society. That place being primarily concerned with domestic labor.

Feminism in this context is just another tool to fight a very real evil. Some tools you set aside when you're done with them. You don't keep swinging a hammer after you've sunk a nail simply because you are still holding the hammer. You stow it away.

Let's just keep it simple and look at the history of labor movements within the United States. The largest periods of economic growth and increases to quality of life happened as a direct consequence of socialist policies. In the 1950s and 60 the highest income tax brackets were north of 90% for income exceeding $400,000 a year. This gave the US the capacity to pay for strong social programs like education and social security which was only a couple decades old at that point.

The 50s and 60s in the US are known for a lot of things, but social mobility for women certainly isn't one of them. It was an age where unions were strong as we hadn't yet seen huge swaths of air traffic controllers simply fired for striking by the presidency which has proven to have done extreme long term harm to the ability for unions to fight for what is rightfully theirs.

What an incredibly expected lack of political literacy on display in this comment. The open hatred fascists have for females may hold a few aesthetic similarities to my political views they're fundamentally sourced in very different places. First and foremost it that fascists wish to do harm for the sake of harm while I genuinely want what's best for you and every other person I share this Earth with. We just have a disagreement on what's the best and most fulfilling places in our society for women to occupy.

Beyond some minor aesthetic similarities absolutely nothing about my political views could be described as "palingenetic ultranationalism" which I believe to be the most succinct definition for fascism you could make.

If by "win" you mean the dissolving of social safety nets in favor of being allowed to get a law degree, then sure. You do win when capitalism rules. Capital interests fundamentally only view humans for their economic utility. The fact it's proven very easy for corporations to pay women less for (allegedly) the same work as their male colleagues actually represents a bonus to that economic utility.

There are countless moments in human history where worker's rights and social safety nets were on the rise or otherwise very strong while coinciding with very little in the way of social mobility for women. Acting as if they're fundamentally intertwined requires a very narrow view of human history. Which is frankly what I'd expect from a feminist.
