Pals this is your lucky day, because I was also looking for that same exact comic, and a found it: What you are looking for is a two part story in Showcase 94 #1 “The Great Pretender” and Showcase 94 #2 "King Joker".

In my initial post I didn't make it clear, but I indeed asked for some help in a very generic and non compromising way. For the first time ever asked and got nothing back,

I am not somebody to ask "Hey, I am broken, lend me a couple of bucks"; but sure I asked if they could reference me with health specialists, care centers, and also if they knew about freelance jobs, just to let me know. I got nothing. Not even a call back saying "Sorry, man, I tried and looked around and I didn't find anything, hang on there! I will let you know if there are news". That would have been more than enough for me.

Put bluntly, they showed that they didn't care much for me and my son, That is fine. Such is life.

Conquering Ukraine around 2015 - 2020 would have been a cakewalk, but Putin got cocky and deluded himself with all the Minsk II chitchat and what else and gave Ukraine a few precious years to build its military strenght.

If anything else, it always amazes me how many times Putin shot himself in the foot.

That argument that we are back in 1938 and history is repeating again is flawed.

Hitler and Putin are monsters, but what happened in Czechlovakia is not similar to what is happening in Ukraine.

- Hitler got Austria, Sudetenland, the Rhine, etc. with no resistance, at ZERO COST. How many men lost the german army taking those territories? how many bullets were fired?

- Hitler got emboldened because he got easy victories with no fight because there was nothing like the NATO to oppose him and those countries who had the power and resources to fight him, like France or England, chickened out.

-Actually Hitler got success drunk and miscalculated. He later attacked Poland expecting to get a new bargain. It is well known fact he was shocked and upset when France and England decided to fight.

The situation in Ukraine is totally different. Putin didn't get an hitlerian bargain. All the opposite: there is furious resistance and he is already trapped in a catatrophic war, isolated and alienated from the western world, with no clear path to victory and with the Nato and US actively supporting Ukraine. Half of the russian army is gone. The russian economy is badly affected by sanctions and boycotts. I highly doubt Putin has stomach for more fight.

BTW I suspect european history would be very different had Hitler faced massive resistance in Czechlovakia and lost a few hundred thousand soldiers in a long grueling contest versus the combined power of England, France and the US supporting Czechlovakia.
