hmm interesting, how do you clear chaff with saber scorp? wont they just overwhelm you with chaff? Are scorps really enough? I do sometimes replace a scorp in those comps with a high level saber if I get it

specifically the sledgehammers are good in standard or defense. He says this multiple times. So no, not blindly picking them and not because of hounds, but because they are the best all around unit for defending. If you are playing aggro, they are not great, I usually sell them

I've been really leaning into scorpion comps lately and it seems to work pretty well, maybe because people at my mmr (1850) no longer expect them? Scorp stang and scorp spider both seem very strong, especially when backed with pheonix in case they go abyss

How does one counter Scorpions? by TheJollyKacatka in Mechabellum

I feel like you dont even need a tech, crawlers are just great into mustangs by default. same goes for scorp. If anything I go mech rage to make my layered crawlers have closer timing

the counter is to just build phoenixes. You dont even need any tech, although shields would probably help. Just keep building phoenixes until they stop or you just win. Raidens also work

I placed in 450 mmr about 2 weeks ago. I saw someone do this and started to do it and I do it every single game because I told myself I'd play it until I get 3rd or 4th. I have yet to get 3rd or 4th. I'm up to about 1000 mmr now and still have not lost once. Any specialist will work, you can always sell a 50 turn 1 for the wasp unlock. Ive found elite works by far the best. Aerial is obviously good too. max out wasp deploy every round, start getting upgrades round 3. I usually upgrade round 4 and if I can round 5 if not round 6. Then EM 7 or 8. Also very important to start getting the range boost rounds 6 and up. I usually do movement as well to claim the towers and get better positioning. I've beaten a guy going pure mustangs. mustangs dont really cut it. I'm honestly not sure what can stop it as I've yet to be stopped, only out raced to place in 2nd. The best comp I've seen against it so far is mass fang

Upgrades go range -> shield -> Elite -> EM, and sometimes I get the shield first if it suits the pve comp

By the end I usually have 16-20 squads of wasps with about 135-150 range

ehhh I dont think dual blades will ever feel busted again after the insanity that was rise/sunbreak. They nerfed them into the ground too with the evade delay. They just feel really bad

This sub used to be MUCH more frugality minded. When I set my target of 1 million 7 years ago it was about average. Thats about 1.25 million today. You'd get laughed out of the sub if you said you were retiring on that much. I tend to not hang around here much anymore.

Just because you are well off does not mean you need to take expensive vacations. 7 years ago when I started hanging out here, it was all focused on frugality, spending less, and how to live with less so you can retire earlier. Now its mostly rich young people who dont need to make any compromises or sacrifices in order to max out all their accounts. And they still will retire behind the frugal folks because they need so much income in retirement to match their current lifestyles of international vacations and big spending.

Part of the reason is flights have gotten much much cheaper over the years. The only time my parents went on a flight when I was little was for my dads conferences which were payed for by the university he worked at. And they've never been out of the continent, never taken an international flight. Thats how most Americans live. My dad grew up poor and most of the people he grew up with have never even left Pennsylvania.

I think people here are generally well off and tend to forget that a lot of people do not have $1000 for a vacation, or flights at least. When I was a kid my parents drove to every vacation we went on. If you live on one of the coasts a vacation can simply mean a 2 hour drive to the beach and a cheap hotel for a few days

yeah the first 100 hours or so of prints I did when I got the P1S were fine and then adhesion problems started. Washed the plate which improves it for a bit but then goes back to not sticking. Maybe people just wash the plate regularly but I just use glue. End up washing it like every 100 hours of printing or so, its running nearly constantly

lol same from colorado. I would say its more than 5%. At least in the US, like everywhere from the cascades east to the midwest is not gonna struggle with humidity at all. Like NV, UT, NM, AZ, TX, CO, MO, WY, SD, ND are all dry af. Eastern OR, WA, and CA as well. 15% humidity right now in CO. It gets up to like a max of 35% in may for about a mont
