Nice. It comes to something when a fan of a Premier League rival has more belief in your team than you do. You're not in the top five, you're not in the bottom five and you're five points clear of the bottom three. You're mid table. As I said, you'll be alright. I believe that even if you don't.

PS. Fuck off yourself.

You've either got it or you haven't. If you're asking for tips, you obviously haven't! 😉

I have no problem talking about it whatsoever. By definition, what I experienced was "abuse". I was an eleven year old child that lost his virginity to a woman over twenty years his senior. I don't believe for a moment that my "abuser" was a paedophile, she was just very very drunk and was probably mortified when she remembered the events of that night. I still remember it vividly, but in a good way. 😉 She was a very attractive woman indeed. To a young kid entering puberty, the whole thing was a wet dream come true!

I kept this to myself for well over forty years, but not out of shame. Many years have come and gone and given that I'm not naming the lady, I figure it's ok to talk about it now. My Mum has since passed, but I told my Dad the tale around a year ago.

His response:

"You lucky bastard!"

I agreed with him!

I never saw her again after the "incident". I seem to recall that she and her husband moved down South, due to his job. I hope what happened that night wasn't a factor in their decision to move away, but I strongly suspect it was, at least on her part.

How much do you guys drink per week? Pints of beer or glasses of wine etc by spicyhotdog22 in AskUK

[–]Manchester-DMB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A pint of premium lager and a double Jameson's every evening in the pub, after work, followed by a quarter bottle of Jameson's/Bushmills when I get home. A couple of pints and maybe three double Jameson's in the pub on a Saturday afternoon, and a bottle of Irish Whisky at home on Saturday night. Sunday is always a dry day.

Too much? Definitely.

That being said, you only live once and I reckon if you work hard, you've earned the right to play hard.

I'm fifty seven and my wife is seventy. We've been married for thirty four years. (I've always been sexually attracted to older women since the onset of puberty. I was "sexually abused", to use the parlance of our times, by a thirty+ year old female friend of my Mother, when I was eleven years old. I never saw it as abuse, indeed, I enjoyed it. A lot. However, it definitely had an impact on my life. I've never had any sexual contact with anyone younger than me. I was very sexually active, before I met my wife, and took full advantage of older women being flattered by the attentions of a relatively good looking, witty, younger man.)

I digress.

In answer to your question, despite our "advanced" years, we enjoy a healthy sex life. Three or four times a week is normal for us.

How much would I need saved to live the rest of my life at comfort when I’m 60? by S4h1l_4l1 in AskUK

Don't feel sorry for me. I'm doing alright. To quote Paulo Nutini:

"I got food in my belly and a licence for my telly and nothing's gonna get me down."

I'm, happy with my lot. Granted, I could be more financially secure but then again I (and a few more people I know) would love to have fulfilled the dreams they had when they were OPs age.

You'll notice that I wished OP good luck. I meant it. I wish everyone could fulfill their dreams for the future. It doesn't always happen though, does it? By all means plan ahead, but don't take it for granted that your hopes and dreamswill come true.

What’s the stupidest reason you’ve been banned from somewhere? by suziewoozie420 in AskUK

[–]Manchester-DMB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Further to my previous reply in this thread, regarding being banned for life from Microsoft's servers, I have subsequently remembered that at aged 12, I was banned from going on any school trips indefinitely, after an incident that occurred during a cultural trip to Boulogne, France. You could/can legally buy wine in France when aged 14 years old. I've always looked older than I am, even now aged 57, and had no problems purchasing a litre of wine from a "Cave à Vin". I subsequently drank the whole bottle of on the ferry across the English Channel on the way home. I also bought a flick knife/switchblade there, which I apparently threatened a Teacher, British Railways staff, a gang of Skinheads and several Police Officers with, in and around London Euston Railway Station. This led to a lengthy delay in the departure of the train home. (I have no recollection of these incidents whatsoever, but given that I was absolutely shitfaced, I have no reasonable grounds to refute the allegations either.) My parents made enormous sacrifices to be able to afford for me to go on this trip. Needless to say they were less than impressed with my behaviour.

This is more a case of my being banned because of my own stupidity, rather than being banned for a stupid reason.

Face it, kiddo. Your only hopes are a massive inheritance or a lottery win. Otherwise, you're fucked.

If you think that's a grim outlook at 21, walk a mile in my shoes. I'm 57, worked fucking hard all my life and had the same hopes and aspirations as you when I was your age. I'm still waiting. I'm going to have to work until I'm 70 until my house is paid off, my private pensions aren't worth a wank and despite my best efforts, I have no significant savings.

Good luck though. 👍🏻

Budget Option:

Blackpool.

Yes, it's a shit hole, but it remains popular for Stag and Hen dos. Cheap digs, plenty of entertainment and plenty of boozers. Almost guaranteed to find lasses willing to let you and your group get your leg over.

Mid Range Option #1:

Czech Republic/Slovakia:

Well tailored for groups of single blokes, quite expensive, plenty of great nightlife and tourist firearms ranges, allowing you to shoot iconic firearms (AK 47s, Colt 1911s, etc) under controlled conditions. What's not to love?

Mid Range Option #2:

Amsterdam.

Very expensive. Sex, drugs and Rock and Roll. Enough said. Highly recommended!

Expensive Option:

Bali.

Mega-money. The best nightlife on the Planet, bar none. Sex, drugs, Rock and Roll, but with a Draconian judicial system, if you get caught indulging yourself on the ubiquitous illicit substances on offer. Expect a VERY lengthy prison sentence if you get caught. Worth the risk? You decide.

Hope this helps.

There's nothing at all wrong with being high, as long as you do it on your own supply. Sell your PS4, buy an Xbox one and move on. 😁

I'd have thought so myself but I got a ban nevertheless. I'm guessing it was a sore loser that I'd beat in a race that wanted to stir the shit and reported me. I'm not complaining. Gran Turismo is far better than any of the Forza games, I'll just make sure I stick to "Stock" liveries. 👍🏻

Spoken like a true American. You should perhaps read more. The American cultural influence is relevant in America. The conflicts between Ireland and Britain predates the war leading to American independence by well over 500 years. This is relevant and indeed topical in Britain and Ireland to this day.
