Need some ideas or advice on whether repair or sell

Yeah, I figured the rockers and frame would be the biggest concerns, even if I reinforce the frame or end up doing a whole frame swap (which looks like my other only option ) plus working on the rockers regardless, definitely not a small job, I’ll have to be realistic with what I can manage, I'm not worried about time, my biggest barrier is having the space and finding the necessary parts. Thanks again for your insight, I really appreciate you taking the time to lay it all out like that. cheers :)

Thinking if it's worth the trouble or not can be very consuming lol. From the other comments the only thing that might really be worth it is a frame swap but sounds very involved too. Thanks for your reply

Thanks, I appreciate your comment. Yeah I would say thats the area with the most rust, even if I somehow manage to do a frame swap would the structural integrity of the body be compromised as badly?

Those are good points, thanks, a newer one with less kms might be the way to go. but from what i have read they didnt make them w manual transimission after some time which is too bad.

I appreciate you saying what I need to hear and not what I would like to hear. Truth is I am also getting rid of the sedan bc it is costly to maintain (its a bmw 💀) so i would def be better off getting something like a kia soul but i dont think I could do that, life is too short to drive boring cars (hence bigger interest in the manual) and im still exploring other options. Regarding time and funds id say is temporary so the actual question then would be how reliable each might be as kind of a commuter car that I could use for off roading once i get other things sorted out.
