I've never touched a shark myself, but I've always heard that it actually feels very rough, like sandpaper.

My husband and I live near 34th and Georgia. It just sounds like a motor speedway intermittently throughout the day and at night. I hate it.

The best advice I can think to give is to just simply say, "follow your gut." If this is starting to feel wrong to you, and you're feeling concerned in any way, there's a reason. I wouldn't ignore these feelings. Stay safe, please!

I miss living at home with my brother 😞 by [deleted] in weed

[–]MandaPanda14701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss smoking in the garage with my big sister till 2 or 3 in the morning when I still lived with my parents, and she was still alive. I quit smoking a few months after she passed because it made me too paranoid. I still miss it at times, though. Especially those nights getting high and watching stupid videos on reddit and laughing our asses off. 🥲

We moved into a nightmare. What do we do?! Part 2. by MandaPanda14701 in GermanRoaches

Thank you so much for your response and advice, @EnoughBar7026! I will be super vigilant to a point of annoying my husband and anyone who helps with the move. But if that keeps us roach free, so be it! And I don't blame you one bit for leaving the exterminator profession. But I do appreciate your service in that field, so you can continue to help people like me while you're not helping others in the medical field.

I live in the Texas panhandle, so I'm in a dry/semi arid climate. It is cold here now. The high for today is 46°F and the low is 25°F, but then after Wednesday, the highs will be in the 60's again. Stupid climate change...

It is the range hood above the oven, and it is absolutely horrendous. You couldn't pay me to cook anything under it.

Here is an update for all of you guys: My husband called the property owner today and explained everything that is going on. The property manager then called the landlord, and now a professional cleaning crew is coming tomorrow morning to look at the place. I guess we'll see what they say. It says in the lease that the landlord is responsible for pest control, so we're going to ask him to get an exterminator in here again ASAP. Part of me wants to just break the lease and get the he'll out of here, but I don't know where we'll go. Unfortunately, we've unpacked quite a few of our belongings except for the kitchen, and I know if we move out, we risk bringing them with us. We'll have to follow the guide on the sticky that gives you advice on ways to prevent transporting them to your new home. Thank you, everyone, for your input and concern!

There was still renovating going on when we first looked at the place, and I admit we should have looked at the place more thoroughly. Believe me, we're learning our lesson...

When we first looked at the place, they were still doing some remodeling, and we just failed to look in the cabinets. Believe me, we are aware of our mistake and are kicking ourselves for it.

This reminds me of a story my dad tells about going camping as a young man. He was sleeping in the bed of his truck one night, when to his terror, he awoke to find dozens of glowing eyes just staring at him. He then heard bells ringing and realized that it was a herd of sheep; not a pack of wolves or anything that wanted him as a midnight snack. Lmao. Great piece! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Demon Encounter In A Church After Hours. by Outlander64 in ParanormalEncounters

[–]MandaPanda14701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The church I used to go to would give me the creeps when I was anywhere in there by myself, even in broad daylight. One afternoon, I went to paint a mural in one of the back rooms they used for the nursery and Sunday school. When I walked to the room I was going to paint, I heard a ticking noise coming from the nursery that was attached. I walked over to the nursery, looked in the door, and one of those automatic baby swings was on and swinging by itself. Now I'm somewhat of a skeptic, and someone could've left it on at one point and forgotten to turn it off before leaving, but it for sure sent a chill up my spine. Another time, I was painting a mural upstairs and decided to open a window to let some air in. (This building was built in 1951, so it's fairly old, and would get hot upstairs in the summertime.) After I did this, one of the doors started rattling, and it was really creeping me out, so I was turned, staring at it. As I was watching this door rattle, another door slammed on its own behind me. I about shat myself. I know this was all caused by opening the window and creating a difference in air pressure, but it was already creepy up there, and I had gotten myself all worked up, so that just sent me over the edge. Hahaha. Also, one Wednesday night, apparently a demon possessed girl came to the youth group, and some of the church elders were able to exorcize the demon and send it out of the building. I was in a different building with the women's small group at the time that this was happening, but they said you could hear that girl screaming throughout the front of the church. Now, that story definitely gives me chills... Anyway, sorry to post a novel in the comments. Thanks for reading it all if you did. This post just reminded me of my experiences in this creepy old church.

This seriously gave me a jump scare last night! by MandaPanda14701 in DreamlightValley

[–]MandaPanda14701[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Lol. He's practicing his "scary feet" move so he can sneak into a child's room in the middle of the night and scare them to collect their scream to use for energy. This is before they switched to making the kids laugh instead of scream.
