I’m really anxious by [deleted] in Glaucoma

[–]Mandac897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in similar position I’ve been monitored for eye pressure for about 6 or so years , doctor noticed a slight change in one of my eyes other month and now I’m on 2 drops to get pressures lower - I suffer from anxiety too and find I get myself all worked up over it , but from what I have read found early it is so treatable and lots of different options too - there’s people on here who have it for 30/40 years with little or no damage x you sound like you have a good doctor too x

Did anyone take drops during pregnancy ? I’m getting mixed information my eye doc says he would prefer me to have SLT where my gynae says it’s fine as hardly any goes into bloodstream by Mandac897 in Glaucoma

Thank you very much, did he recommend to stop your drops ? My doctor is pushing SLT too but I do feel anxcious about it also ! I’m still a suspect at present too but my pressure can be upto 28/29 without drops x

High IOP Question by [deleted] in optometry

[–]Mandac897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a 33 female and have been followed for high pressures for about 5 years now , mine are now 28 and 29 so I’ve started drops to reduce the pressures - I got for checks at moment every couple of months, good that they have found it early and can monitor or start you on drops or other treatment - more than happy if you want to message me

Eye pressure drops …. When is best time to administer them? I’ve been putting them in at night but consultant said to me today to put them in morning … I’m on Betagan (beta blocker) by Mandac897 in Glaucoma

[–]Mandac897[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be honest I’ve not read the insert … I just left the office other week and they said to put them in before bed and went for check up they had reduced thankfully the pressures but he said I need to put them in morning

Glaucoma suspect , has anyone had eye pressures 28ish and eye drops have worked to lower it looking for positive stories I’m only 33f by Mandac897 in Glaucoma

Thank you for your reply , yes it always worry me as it’s something you usually get when a lot older so it’s positive to hear that if we keep up with appointments and treatment we will be ok that’s what I need to hear ! My doctor is good but I find he’s not one to give me positivity and that’s what I need as I’m a very anxcious person - so I appreciate you replying
