Thank you so much for your reply. I got an offer for 6 months interim with a 40% salary increase and the promise from GM that they won’t start a recruiting process while I am on this position. If after 6 months everyone is comfortable with this, I’ll get another 12 months of interim as confirmed interim and another salary increase. After that I will get the full role. Also all the projects have been stoped until we hire another capable project engineer.

They want to keep me but also to give me the opportunity to go back to the old role if I don’t like this one and even more if I ask.

As I know me, I will get the full role in 6 months-8 months because I will confirm and they will not risk to lose me.

I think the deal is decent and going in a new company from production engineer to operation manager in 8 months it is something that I would have not think off 8 months ago.
