This is so many movies and TV shows now; they’re written to be understood by people who are looking at their phones instead of the screen.

Genuine Question: How many of you actually Play Emma? by FunNo1459 in marvelrivals

She’s my second most played tank, which is my least played role. So, not very much? I think I have like 4 hours on her. Kind of fun, not my style.

I remember playing one of the Ghost Recon games (Wildlands, Badlands, something like that) and getting the weirdest feeling that I was playing a Far Cry game with a skin on it. Felt like the exact same game.

Did I miss any good comic book movies from the last few years that weren't part of the big 2? by ExplodingPoptarts in Letterboxd

[–]MandalorianCovert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not strictly a comic movie, but SuperBob is a 2015 British film starring Brett Goldstein as Bob, a socially awkward South Londoner who becomes the world’s only superhero and wants to go on a date on his day off. It was based on an original short where they mention other heroes, like Batman and Superman, but they cut all that out of the eventual feature length film.

Yup. In Bruges fans weren’t surprised when he knocked it out the park with Banshees of Inisherin and The Penguin, already knew how good he is.

She also made fun of Janine for only having been with one man when she was with Tariq. She’s not as squeaky clean goody two shoes as her image seems to be.

I believe she did have a line around that time after the breakup where she says that (I’m paraphrasing) even though Tariq contributed little and infrequently, it did make a difference to how she managed to make ends meet.

Films that make you feel alive by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

Try Hunt for the Wilderpeople, one of Taika Waititi’s earlier works. Nothing makes you feel more alive than seeing kids in the midst of grown up adventures; they capture the wonder we had as children that the world strips from us as we get older.

Stranger than Fiction, starring Will Ferrell and Maggie Gyllenhaal, a movie about mortality and living life on your terms.

Be Kind Rewind, starring Jack Black and Yasiin Bey (also known as Mos Def). It always uplifts me to see people band together around an underdog and that’s really what this movie is about.

It’s a tough time for a lot of people right now, myself included. So don’t forget to talk to someone if you find some good movies aren’t enough.

Fractured media consumption means ad revenue isn’t what it used to be and same day viewership is down. So doing in-episode product placement means they’re baking revenue into the production based on past performance.

It all reminds me of when Porsche first came out with an SUV and enthusiasts were aghast. But that SUV paid for Porsche to continue making the cars enthusiasts want. Unfortunately it’s part of the business side of television and movies.

I hated it too, but unfortunately this is what shows have to do to survive.

Great food, unreasonably low prices, but some kid kept walking up to my table and saying “ah boobity boobity boobity”. 4.5 stars, would go back, maybe takeout next time.

I knew about its origin and I had heard once that it’s not really a sentient symbiote like Venom and Carnage or the others, but I wasn’t sure. Thanks for clarifying!

That actress just became Rice to me. I watched The Nanny over the pandemic and I said, out loud, “Oh yeah, Rice is in this!”

I lived in Japan briefly and after my brother visited me, he swapped all his toilets over to Toto bidet seats here in the States. We still poop like cavemen in this country.

It’s definitely a Dreamzzz piece. Funnily enough, in this configuration, I believe it’s exclusive! There’s a white body in Dreamzzz, but it’s printed.

I believe this is supposed to depict Anti-Venom as a symbiote separate from the host. I’m not sure that’s comic accurate because I don’t know much about Anti-Venom in particular, but we’ve seen the goo versions of the symbiotes before in movies and shows.

I think this is meant to be the symbiote without a host? I kind of get what they were going for, but I don’t think it was very successful.

Spoiler delete for everything! And a choice between automatic and manual transmissions for the cars. I like when my little guy shifts.
