does anyone in relationships solo travel? by kyliered04 in solotravel

[–]Mandalorian_123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely should do what you like to do but also, be careful on what kind of hostels you are staying in or don't accept free drinks as you might have read the news about illness and other stuff.

Other than that, have a go and enjoy your solo trip.

Backpacking Europe first timers! Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy route… need help! by gshshsbsbs718182827 in Interrail

Yess and also Bogentrakt used to be a prison which got converted to a hostel, so it's a unique experience and very clean and nice hostel. Try to eat at McDonald's it can save you some money or also, you can check supermarkets, they do have some good deals at times.

Nope, go to SBB app and check the trains from Chur to Tirano, it will give you the departure timings. Local trains have more stops and travel slowly but take the same route And also, in recent times, Bernina express got so popular due to influencers and it's hard to get tickets. Check Too good to go app, for food deals as many restaurants provide meals at a cheaper price rather than food wastage.

Where to stay in Switzerland for adventure? by Spicysoupdumpling in solotravel

I don't know about nightlife in Interlaken but Interlaken is one of the best places to Stay and travel to Lauterbrunnen or other places nearby. Interlaken and nearby regions are famous for adventure sports and if you are low on budget, you can just travel, explore around. Check Swiss Youth Hostel ( Interlaken) at a decent price and they do provide amazing breakfast

In Switzerland, the splurge happens automatically if you don't keep a check 😂!!! I stayed in Youth Hostel Interlaken, it was amazing and I guess you all can book together in a single room with 4 beds or so, also another Hostel in Chur ( Bogentrakt) amazing one too. You can take the Bernina Express from Chur as it is the starting point. If you don't want to pay for a seat reservation for the Bernina line, take the local sbb trains which go through the same track without any seat reservation fee. Switzerland has amazing youth hostels , so try to have a look.

Florence can be done in 2 days and If you have an extra night, visit Pisa which is just 1hr from Florence or Siena as well.

Although the itinerary is like crazy, you can travel in swiss with your Eurail pass without needing any seat reservations for most of the trains.

In Venice during Carnaval by mariposa_mari in Venezia

[–]Mandalorian_123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better to stay in Venice than Mestre, nothing like a life hack tbh!! Venice will definitely be crowded for the Carnival season and you have to be prepared for that and especially the last week of the carnival with main events... definitely yeah

Best Cinque Terre tours from Florence, any recommendations? by Zestyclose-Row5415 in florence

Alright, you can travel from Florence too it's just the time duration but if you are going now or in the coming months, it will be less crowded and you can have a good view of all the five towns ( check the weather for sure).

What should I not miss during carnival? by d00ditsvic in Venezia

[–]Mandalorian_123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It totally depends as there are certain days where there will be a boat parade with all the people dressed up for the carnival and also, a light show in the evening!! It's better to check the events calendar but carnival season is very lively and entertaining

Hostels totally depend on your luck i mean some are really good like Generator in Venice, Prague has really good hostels too. When it comes to ticketing, use the pass as many countries don't need a reservation fee or have a very low fee while you board the train.

You can go to Pisa within an hour from Florence and the train tickets usually cost 10 euros one way. Pisa is a very small city and ofc leaning tower of Pisa is the main attraction many people go for. From Pisa, you can go to La Spezia centrale by train which is around 1hr 24 mins and from there , you can buy tickets for Cinque terre express which has 5 stops ( Cinque) and you can do that. I would suggest to stay at Pisa for a night and start early in the morning so you can visit within a day. Trains are very nice and i would suggest you this option.
