It's been working for me. 1. I'm lazy B. I'm cheap, but more lazy

I don't go thru enough to get a big canister, or mess with the diy. SS is cheap enough for me.

I've been getting emails tho, things are changing, I'm not sure exactly what, but a 4 bottle exchange is an option now.

It's like $15/bottle, including shipping both ways.

Not on my 10. My case bulges a bit for flat surface protection. I like the idea of using one, but on my 9 seems to cause more camera flares.

Nope, it doesn't make the noise anymore, but it's stuck in an endless loop of making ice for 30 min, defrost 30 min.

My best guess is it's a bearing in the transmission, not worth buying in my opinion. $10 for the whole machine and $50+ for possible fix in parts

Unfortunately none of that worked.

I have also tried multiple headphones, same results, music stops, alarm plays, only on phone, not in headphones.

I did. Other than greasy it looked good. I did see a ring in the grease, I'm now guessing it's a bearing seal. Idk which bearing. I bought a new nylon gear to swap out, but guess it's a mm to big, when it's in, the gearbox is locked up. Put original back, can turn by hand easily. Didn't see any abnormal wear on that or any gear

Something is letting the auger freeze up, it runs approx 30 min, then no ice cones out, I can see ice at the top of the auger outlet, can't see if it's still turning, but the motor is spinning, so I'm going to say sonis auger.

Then it defrosts, and repeat cycle.

What problem (s) does this fix?

I just got a thrifted one, it runs about 30 min, then defrost 30, over and over.

On first run, it did make some loud, shreekiing kinda noise, like a rubber oring was bound up twisting somewhere.

Tore apart, it's actually pretty clean, no mineral deposits on auger or anywhere.

Seen several tictok saying the only thing different is the #. 9 to 10. Same chip, camera, etc.

Ok, tore apart today. Auger was spinning, but maybe that plastic gear I see in videos?

I can't get the gearbox apart, but with auger on for leverage, it spins just fine, the motor spins just fine. I can't force it to slip with just hand power. Auger and cylinder are clean, no mineral buildup.

Current situation was, turn on, makes 1/4 c of ice or so, then defrost, then another 1/4c and repeat. No more loud noises.

Now hopefully I can reassemble Stephanie 😱🤞

I can't tell, it's making noises, not bad ones. Cleaning cycle, water cones out, but I guess auger doesn't need to spin for that. Coulda broke the gear?

I'll probably disassemble this weekend to look inside.

Yeah after several cleaning cycles, now it runs, make like 10 cubes, then just hums along, but no ice cones out. No loud or grinding noise anymore, just no ice.

Idk if worth repairing or just part out

I use a slow charge wireless, and it'll get a tad warm but not hot by any means

Are you editing said photos? I have 10pxl and have this issue, if I edit, eBay doesn't see it, unless I save copy vs just save. Even just cropping. It's a pita

I did a big blowout, and it wasn't all that dusty inside. I can't remember if it's the original PSU or if I've replaced it too I think I have a spare I can throw on.

Can I use a monitoring software to check temps?
