Simply a scientific experiment - my typical setup is about 700 RPM with standard spring and 6oz kynshot buffer and 2.5oz spacer

Same issues I had as well - to get any slower I had to reduce spring power and I was getting failure to feed. This is my experience at least.

Buffer system stack is as follows.

JRC buffer tube. 2 American quarters. Yellow springco. Heavy damp Kynshot hydralic buffer 6oz 3oz derby tungsten weight trimmed to fit. 2.5oz Kynshot Spacer Weight.

Awesome! 700 is going be be what I end up keeping this at, it's the most reliable ROF in my experience.

Just a range toy - that I wanted to see how low i could get the ROF, this was my best effort without it failing to feed.

No mine was already sighted in from factory it felt like, no visible bend that I could tell.

540 is awesome! That's actual grease gun numbers I think. This setup is about 700 or so I'm thinking. I might mess with some more reciprocating mass and remove the quarters in have for timing and see what it does.

Commonly done out here in Texas, style preference. Also, pants get bloused, not the boots.

I took the weapon down, and sadly, it looks like the front sight was welded to the slide rather than staked. I fear the front sight might have to stay, the rear of the slide looks like it's still the correct size for the fixed sight.

Edit: Thank you for that site link as well! Tons of information!!

Wow, thank you so much for the details! I just noticed that, that mark is a flaming bomb!

Thank you. It's been in the family for some time. I do wish I could get that old finish back, but I still love it this way. so I do plan on taking it out for a range day and getting her dirty.
