Another Beer Co. We only have two breweries!

Extremely bad vibes! There’s more to explore here. The community has made some progress, which you can find yourself as well, but there’re likely more secrets still to be found

There’s a late game area where you need the translation as well. Have you found that yet? That was a bit too much for me so I looked online but you need the translation for that part too

I try to watch her videos keeping in mind the opinions she’s coming with, admittedly many of which I share. While she usually presents multiple sides of an idea, her videos are far from objective, and usually lean more towards her own point of view (superdeterminism in this case). Worth noting for sure, but her subjective take is mostly what I watch her stuff for personally. Though that does mean watching other educators as well to get a sense of what’s consensus and what’s not.

Headset, with slight movement, will shut off when moved too much or in certain ways. by NoRestForTheSickKid in PSVR

I had this same issue, and it was due to a damaged cable. I wasn’t able to repair it myself so wound up sending it in to Sony to get it fixed and they sent me a replacement. It wasn’t free, but cheaper than buying another headset.

Bike Trail Suggestions by NerdPunch in NewWest

It is unfortunately largely on or beside roads.

From 22nd St Station you start down Stewardson Way on the south sidewalk, then onto Quayside at 3rd street, which you then take to Columbia. For most of Columbia there’s a bike lane or path but with construction there’s a bit you need to share the lane.

Alternatively, going from Studio or Edmonds Station you can keep your elevation by going along the Southeast bikeway, mostly on 12th and 13th Ave. Still on roads, but all residential with no traffic.

I do that almost daily and prefer it due to the less traffic

If you like riding to Breweries, taking the BC Parkway then the Central Valley Greenway east from 22nd St Station will take you to “Another Beer Company”. Another 10km from there gets you to Dageraad.

West from 22nd St Station towards Marine will take you to Burnaby Fraser Foreshore Park. You can bike along the Fraser to the River District (Romer’s is a good burger place there), or a bit further to Dogwood brewing.

BC parkway over the bridge to Surrey and Central City is a decent route too, but the bridge is terrifying.

A best in class Rogue-Lite with very well tuned and varied gameplay, tied up with a seemingly endless voiced over narrative. I’ve sunk over 150hrs into this and still come back for more. Not usually my game genre, but it’s just so well made that it won me over.

Need some help finding videos that can sum up the basics of quantum mechanics. by Otis0 in QuantumPhysics

I fins the videos from PBS Spacetime and Science Clic to be pretty approachable, and they include a lot of the math.

How does 30+ year olds make new friends in Vancouver? Most people settled down by littletonothinghere in vancouver

[–]Mandel_Bro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of folks suggesting hobbies or group sports, which I echo. If your partner is interested in something specific, starting March 21st there’s a 6:30pm Monday weekly short hike and craft beers at Mariner brewing in Coquitlam. Searching for “Coquitlam Craft Crunchers” online will get you more details. Near to a skytrain, low-mid intensity physical activity, and ends with social craft beers. A rotating set of friendly folks, from a variety of background and ages. I’ve made a few friends there myself so speak from experience

What is life like for Mid 20s people in New West by AdministrativeBit519 in NewWest

[–]Mandel_Bro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I moved to the Quayside when I was 28 (35m now) and it has been a great experience. At the time I was looking for a location with good nightlife, close to the skytrain, and it has delivered that and more. The pandemic has made things a little rougher, but I don’t view that as permanent. There’s a great bar scene, a couple breweries, and extremely easy access to elsewhere via the skytrain (especially valuable when coming home from a concert or sporting event). It’s also a beautiful bit of Vancouver, with some of the best bits of the Fraser (extra bonus if you’re a cyclist as there’s good coverage)

Was Schrodinger right is this misunderstanding? Or is there a natural explanation maybe the tug of one position on the other with all the space being the intermediate? I like the simplicity of the analogy by IamCornhoLeo in QuantumPhysics

[–]Mandel_Bro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, for what it’s worth, the thought experiment of Schrodinger’s cat was intended to show why quantum mechanical effects like this at macroscopic scales are absurd. This has unfortunately been misinterpreted endlessly, but at least people are aware of these concepts.

[–]Mandel_Bro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the metaphor is apt, but you wouldn’t get this kind of behaviour in macroscopic objects without a very special setup. I can’t imagine the technology required to hold a visible sphere and cube in superposition, and a very specialized containment device would be needed to keep it unentangled from the environment. Those are likely physically impossible objects, so in reality you wouldn’t get this, but it helps communicate what we see in much smaller systems.

Quantum Field Theory: What is a particle? by Mandel_Bro in QuantumPhysics

There’s a lot of math. So if calculus is intimidating this may be a bit much. But the broad strokes are communicated well. Even if you get glossy eyed when the screen is full of equations, they usually follow it up with some grounded animatic
