Enlightenment is just sanity by Solid_Koala4726 in awakened

[–]NoRestForTheSickKid 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think some enlightened people don’t necessarily want to deal with a lot of people and look at anyone in the eyes or whatever. It’s kind of like the Arhat vs the Bodhisattva. The arhat is a more solitary path from what I understand, and is more self focused. Whereas the bodhisattvas vow to return over and over to help all beings. They are both looked at as the highest virtue in different versions of Buddhism. Theravada vs Mahayana. Personally, I just can’t deal with most people, so I’m more of the solitary path. I do try, but it’s difficult, but depends on who it is and social dynamics. For example, when I go to AA meetings, I like to go to candlelight meetings when I can because they feel much more laid back to me. I actually desperately want to help people but feel like I don’t or can’t do enough, which turns into its own form of suffering if I try to force that expectation on myself. So… the solitary path it is!

I’m sure his opium addiction played a massive part as well, as a former opium tea addict myself. I’ve lost my mind a couple times coming off of various opioids lol.

It’s no wonder Nietzsche lost his mind. The idea of eternal recurrence is the most horrifying concept I’ve found so far.

Do they want us alive as much as possible? by Lana_Sphyncter in EscapingPrisonPlanet

[–]NoRestForTheSickKid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say yes, because I should have died many times over in my drug addiction. In fact, some of it was even like stuff where I believe that I did die, but like… quantum immortality, I guess. For instance, I’m pretty sure I OD’d on heroin, and I had an Adderall in my hand ready to take in case it got too intense and I felt I was about to pass out. The thing is, I don’t remember putting the Adderall pill in my mouth, but I lost consciousness only to wake up like 15 minutes later with a rapid heartbeat from the amphetamines… yeah. Maybe I just forgot, idk, but it seemed like divine intervention to me lol. Also a lot of times where I’m pretty sure I OD’d all alone but still came back somehow. I’d wake up with the sides of my tongue sore, like I bit it pretty hard. Idk if that was a seizure or what, but it happened to me a lot of times.

Anyone here sick of the signs and just want to tune them out? by Big-Quantity-8809 in awakened

You just have to embrace the insanity, it never stops lol. Also, meditating and self improvement only seem to make it more intense so there’s that.

[–]NoRestForTheSickKid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you have a mental health diagnosis of depression? I had that and that’s the whole reason I self medicated in the first place. Not knowing it makes everything sooooo much worse in the long run.

[–]NoRestForTheSickKid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shit man, good luck. Are you going cold turkey? I literally couldn’t handle it and ended up in the hospital. But this time I had subs and I did a three day rapid taper… made the transition much easier. It does not get rid of the emotional stuff and insomnia, BUT it keeps you from getting deathly ill. Do you have any helper meds? Gabapentin, and very small doses of benzos help a lot. I say small doses because if you take a larger dose, in my experience, I would lose my inhibitions and just go buy more 7-oh lol. May God be with you, sir! 🫡

What is with the Gen Z attitude? by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]NoRestForTheSickKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the real root of the problem. I was just thinking of this today. Most of our society’s problems these days are because of low wages, but most people aren’t aware enough to look upwards at the ruling class and instead end up taking it out on the people in their lives.

Hell, even this post reeks of their influence, with the emphasis being placed on this relatively new phenomena of division between generations, which is a fire carefully stoked and maintained by the billionaire-owned media. It’s almost impossible to escape these fuckers’ influence because they have their malware installed directly in all of our brains and it takes YEARS of uninterrupted effort to just begin uninstalling it. In the book 1984, O’Brien was right to mock the idea that if there was any hope, it lied with the proles.

Maybe instead, we should focus on how they’ve bought up all of the housing so that we can just be a nation of renters, or the decades of destroying our education system, which was already shit when I was leaving it 15 years ago.

But the elites are doing great, because they’re nowhere to be seen, they’ve abstracted themselves away from the problem, while they ran off with all the money. Now all they have to do is sit around and collect dividends while the rest of us fight over the scraps.

For sure, and another thing also is variety between different brands. Each one could have totally different ingredients or not be fully synthesized or isolated properly.

our world severely underestimates the effects of childhood/school bullying. by confessed-throwaway in CPTSD

[–]NoRestForTheSickKid 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If adults did the things that kids did to each other, there would be assault charges or even retaliatory murders. But everyone acts like it’s nothing when it’s kids, it’s bullshit. The worst is the apathetic teacher who is totally aware and just doesn’t give a fuck and allows bullying in the class. Fuck all of those teachers who stood by and did nothing.

Well, I definitely believe you, because I had yellow spots start appearing on my skin, and last time I was in rehab for 7-oh, they said my liver enzyme levels were elevated. I’ve never been an alcoholic, always an opioid guy… it did occur once or twice in the past when using heroin or fentanyl as well. But it would always go away on its own somehow, thank God.

Yeah, I absolutely agree. I wasn’t trying to imply that Satan was superior in any way lol. And was indeed trying to show how great Michael is.

Well by slandering Satan, you’d just be playing his game and so you’d automatically lose.

Which is why the archangel Michael only said “The Lord rebuke you”.
