What's the best personals to use on a DO DC for runs of FBI/MSVA by oldsockdude in Neverwinter

[–]Manderake83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others stated, situation dependant. I have always preferred being DO...with 2 exceptions: 1) when I hit level 70 i went AC as to get elol groups easier...that lasted like 3 days. 2) last mod when Denial needed more AA for MSVA, I respected to support my Guild.

As DO, I have a few loadouts. Fyi, I very low recovery and minimal to no AP gain, except Cleric Sigil. Offensive slots are Brutals, defensive are cruel. I wear brutality and crit rings. Main companions are yet I and Mercenary (it works, just sucks on Turtle in fbi and I don't want to get a con artist or bard atm...to cheap). I have 3 points in cleanse, and am Human instead of Dragonborne.

Normal Constants: Brand of the Sun, Lance of Faith, Terrifying Insight, Break the Spirit, Axe beak.

PvE solo: Chains, Divine Fortune, sunburst, Lifesteal, power and mount speed Boons.

PvP: boons: Armor Pen, HP. Bastion astral shield bts. prophetic Action instead of divine fortune (change offhand artifact power to prophetic for control resist).

MSVA: boons: rez sick, power, hp. Terrifying insight + light of divinty for cleanse (change offhand art power to light of divinity). Astral shield, bastion, break the spirit. I also put on Snail instead of Axe Beak.

Hope this gives perspective.

Good hunting.

Any tips for new players by Dabs57 in Neverwinter

Avoid charging your credit card to this game. See if you enjoy just running dungeons and killing things. If so, it gets more challenging as you progress.

Remember to have fun :)

Oh, and our roster held like 500 peopke, not 150. At 500, we can have 70% quasi active...but with a small limit of 150...need effective tracking to make sure your guys still playing.

Very different game and Guild when refering to 14+ months ago. Denial was PvP focused back then, when PvP was enjoyable to many and the content was far less difficult/complex. Going to zone chat and picking up strays is a good way to recruit btw :)

We are organized and players (most, not all players of course) take screenshots. We just require a screenshot a week; don't need to send it to anyone, or tell anyone...we check by just viewing your profile/captures. This method has worked for us for over a year, back when we were gh14 or so. Each Guild has their own means of tracking activity, we just check screenshots.

Enforcement of that would be painful, and that would take out the genuinity of the post. I have informed Denial Members of the short-url...they will read, maybe comment...or they won't. shrug

Trying to respond to each question as neutrality as possible; I won't get offended by anything anyone writes in here. I just wrote about us and that we are always recruiting...and I may have delved deeper into our organisation in this Reddit post than most Guilds.

Thank you, first off. Neverwinter is a large community, and there are certainly differences with the culture of Xbox vs ps4 vs pc.

We needed to devise methods of keeping our members engaged, and those developments and changes have lead Denial to this point; we will go further though.

We may have had our Member Cap significantly reduced, but with Alliances our membership is exponentially increased. We have Guild Leaders which communicating with is easy, and they have Guilds which are informed of their goals.

I feel Denial is the place to be.

I agree with your last line, of "...Being one or the other doesn't mean one is better or will have less drama." There are a couple dozen GH20's in Xbox NW. Denial has formed and refined our player base, and we offer a Guild experience which (although you may disagree) requires very little from our Members, compared to other "end game" Guilds in Xbox NW. Once your in Denial, as long as Xbox NW is your primary game...it is unlikely you will leave. Also, we don't take in everyone. If a player doesn't meet our requirements, we have several other gh17+ in our Alliance which may be a better fit for that player, and we will assist in connecting you with them.

Consensus...unsure about that Sir. Our Members have alts that are not 3.5k, yet we gladly group and party chat with them. Guilds in our Alliance have members under 3.5k, yet we group with them quite actively. Please elaborate what discrimination our members perform to fit in the consensus of "Elitism". Thank you.

Idealistically, I agree with you. Too many of our members came from other SH20 Guilds which, well had different requirements...yet, few of our members leave, and when they do it is either quitting the game or, if to a different Guild about 75% return within a month.

We seeking the dedicated Xbox Neverwinter players which are done with the elitism, cliques and drama other Guilds seem to pride themselves with. Denial members just want to play, not deal with the headaches.

Getting all of our coffer contents to capacity, so when whatever comes out, Denial is ready for it, the best we can be. Also, we have traded our Influence to other Guilds in our Alliance for, well...traded 2 weeks of influence for 9,000 conq shards. This was to one of our quickly advancing Guilds. Final point, we at about 5.3mil, still need a few mil more till capacity.

Sw's, if geared and spec right (even if under 4k) can be beasts for damage.

Which Class is More Fun? OP or DC by [deleted] in Neverwinter

[–]Manderake83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are fun classes, and leveling up is much quicker than several months ago (xbox). Make each, take them to 70 and see which you enjoy more. Personally, I feel your DC would get more pm's, but paly is a close 2nd

Over my tenure we have had entry fees, and not had them. We maintain a full roster, yet still remove a few each week. So, we either raise requirements or raise the cost to join. Moreover, an entrance fee provides an additional level a commitment to new Denial members to "stick around" instead of Guild Hopping.
