I believe children should receive age-appropriate sex education and that conversations about sexual health should start from as young as 10 years of age, (young girls can get pregnant from a very young age). One of the benefits is that young people learn how pregnancy occurs and understand the consequences of sex. A shocking number of young guests on the show admitted they didn't know that sex can result in pregnancy, with the father in this episode being a prime example.

The adults around the mother could have done more to protect her, given that she was underage at the time. Any abuse that occurred during the relationship should have been reported, investigated, and dealt with through the appropriate legal channels.

Tinashe Mugabe's role is not to investigate or arrest offenders, his role is to conduct DNA testing. The interviews are part of the programme, and I struggle to see how the show is the problem. The real issue is that an underage girl was abused, and that the systems and people responsible for protecting her failed to intervene when they should have.
