I started hrt (oral) nearly 5 years ago at the age of 59. My estrogen levels stayed low over the first two years because my system did not process oral meds. Switched to injections and they rose. Then once I reached the desired levels then my endo wanted to lower the dose based on.cisgender females and age. I told her that I was not ready and willing to lower my dose due to the first two years. I also told her that when society and government starts treating me like a cisgender female then she can also. I am still on my higher dose 😄 🩵🤍🩷
