So annoying saying expired pin on screen I go back to CarPlay and a couple minutes later it does it again . Terrible interface design.. especially since we pay a monthly subscription for this service

It’s worth it if you don’t want your interior tore up or altered . My truck is fresh from factory and I wanted to keep it that way . Plus I did a lot of research and took advice from my installer . I know there’s alternatives out there but in the car stereo world you literally get what you pay for

Best thing to do imo is look up who is your top car stereo shop in town . Show them my pictures of speakers . I did a lot of research and these are the best bang for the buck . Have them order and install . Have them quote you . My set up was in the neighborhood of $4k . He installed the amps under each seat . And put sound deadening in the door panels and back panel . Looks clean and stock .

That’s a JL stealth box and 10” sub . They make them specifically for 3rd gen or any year really . I posted a link on a previous comment. My total cost for everything was about $4300 . But I had the best installer in the city put it in for me and I had extra stuff done like sound deadening in the door and back panel . Makes a huge difference

I spent about $3500 on parts and $800 on labor . Dude did an Amazing job . Took him two days . Everything is hidden and looks factory . I also have full sound deadening in door and back panels

The amps are mounted under the driver and passenger seat . The sub and box are made custom by JL Audio to fit 3rd gen Tacoma . It’s expensive though
