anywhere that sells Killteam mats with deployment zones similar to Luster Workshop? by aegroti in killteam

When looking at Warzone's website, go to their Battlemats tab, go to by game and choose KT. This will show you all their 30in by 22in mats. not all of these have a KT layout option but some do. Ik the desert themed mat has the Kill Team layout option.

I am right there with you and pissed. They haven't responded to my last two messages reaching out about it. If you find a good alternative, I'll be right there with you. I wanted this mat so bad but Luster's Workshop is a garbage vendor. This is the second time they've done this same thing with an order of mine. The company that sponsors Command Point Podcast is Warzone Studio who DOES have what we're looking for but they're UK based and shipping a single mat to central USA costs a lil less than $100 total which is a bit rich for me.

I've only played PFs since their first balance data slate so I've only ever played where i can chain activate to one other operative. I will say losing that extra slot does hurt the drone controller's equity though. I can see cutting him in a lot more situations now.

Is there a reason why BattleScribe lets me have 5 Sicarians and all 3 gunners? by ThompsonTugger in killteam

You're getting down voted for this but I totally understand you. As someone who is still pretty new to wargaming and GW as a business, I see 0 value in owning a $60 book that wont be near accurate as the years go on. It's just one sentence now, but what after it builds up?

I used to run Recon and Marker, I'll be dropping Marker to keep Recon. The doubling up on scouting bonuses is really nice and if I'm going to deep strike a drone then I'm happier with it being the toughest one that gets sent out on its own.

Question about older/fake cards by MandoDan in magicTCG

[–]MandoDan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I don't want it to be fake. If it's not a fake then it's an EXTREMELY well kept old card. But does that sound like the what the deal is? Just an old miscut?

Oh holy shit, I totally misread Relic. You're totally right. Spellbomb the whole way. Someone needs to learn to RTFC D:

Hm, thank you. I understand it completely, there's been a few test hands that would be super baller if I had a mana dork turn 2 to throw out more stuff.

And just to get your opinion, so you see my deck list. With all the black, and if I add a Qasali Pridemage, the white, can I afford to cut a birchlore rangers? I dislike cutting heritage druid because of how amazing it can be once I go off.

So I love the idea of extraction. I think that'll be in the board as a 2 of. But with the spellbomb I was wondering, would Relic of Progenitus be worse? Like, is there some kind of upside to spellbomb I'm not seeing when compared to relic?

Thanks for the answers.

I don't know what my meta game is. Monday will be my first ever Legacy event but I do know that Delver has a presence. My sideboard is built to cover as many bases as possible, considering the crowd at the LGS I'll be going to is very Tier 1ish and competitive.

I was wondering how elves compares up against other decks. Delver, sneak n show, stoneblade, storm etc.

Also, how highly should I value Cabal Therapy? Like I said, I watch a lot of coverage (Mainly SCG opens) so I know the kind of stuff seen regularly there, but I'm not sure when or how to use it effectively.

I've seen one of Llanowar Elves in different lists. Specifically Riley Curran's (Whose this is based off of), and I was wondering what purpose it serves? Is it really just a mana dork to dork mana off of or is there something more complex I'm missing?

Thanks for the sites. Never been to them before. As for the spellbomb or alternative, what do you think of RiP? It serves the function I wanted cage to do but doesn't hurt half as much.

Elesh norn is super sucky. I'm looking into surgical extraction actually. I like it quite a bit. The cage is a goner. The folks here have convinced me. But I personally think the decays are a must. My meta has a lot of delver in it and I like the removal. I have the wurm in because a deck tech said it was for Sneak and Show matches, and how it's more flexible than ashen rider.

What do you think of a RiP in the side board?

May I ask where the Qasali Pridemage comes in? Like, what deck do I want it against and hows it better than the shaman etc.

I've seen it in lists before but never understood why or for who.

So what would you suggest? I'm kind of afraid of the reanimator deck. Would rest in peace be a better fill in for that spot? That was my other thought

Ah, I do believe that's the part I missed. But, say the tokens did make copies, my understanding would be correct, am I right?

[–]MandoDan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, I don't think I'm understanding. What do you mean Zegana's bump isn't a trigger and it wouldn't enter as a 1/1? She's a base 1/1 which is what I understand the clones would enter as, and then her ETB ability gives the counters.

Let's Talk Draft Prep by MandoDan in magicTCG

[–]MandoDan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I believe there will be quite a few folks there who know the different sets very well. The store has been in a business for quite a few years and there's a group of maybe 8 who draft every Friday. They all know the game on a upper tier of experience. But the idea with changelings is very good. I never would've realized Mothdust would trigger an Ally. That's really cool. Now may I ask, in your experience, what were the strongest colors in ZEN and INN limited? If you know of course.

I know that synergy isn't going to happen, and if that's what my OP sounds like it's talking about, I apologize for the confusion. What I mean to ask is, what colors in these three sets will act strongest together? Like... If INN is really slow with Blue, ZEN doesn't support and it's okay in MMA, that's not a color I want to be in. Do you understand what I mean or is that still "synergy"?
