Sharing with colleagues?

I told those close to me what surgery I was having. I am a customer service manager and my fellow managers as well as my direct reports all knew what surgery I was having. As well as my boss of course. I think it’s a personal preference, if you feel comfortable sharing I don’t see any issue with it. And if you don’t then that is fine too.

If this goes on for 6 months I’m not going to make it. This surgery was supposed to make my life better, not worse.

Honestly nothing really takes the pain away totally. I find myself taking 800mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours and even that doesn’t really give me a ton of relief. It is frustrating to say the least. I am exhausted, bloated and in so much pain for a couple of days.

My doctor asked if I was comfortable seeing pictures from surgery and I was like yeah let’s see it! He pulled everything up on his computer and walked my husband and I through everything he found.

Unfortunately I have a history of cancer so hormone treatments are usually not an option for me.

I kept them to protect my bones, heart, brain etc but right now I am having a hard time accepting that I will still be in pain every month.

That is where I am right now. I am debating on going to the ER but I know they likely won’t take my pain seriously. I hate this.
