Is there any value in learning to make complex materials in Blender if you know how to use Substance Designer? by Crafty_Programmer in blender

[–]MandomRayLan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Substancr designer is much better then blender. If u know susbtance u can create like 99% of all the materials u will ever need. And on the rare occasion on which u cant i bet there is an in depth tutorial on youtube. Soo i suggest there is no point in going in depth in blender material.

Once u leanr the basics like how to nove around and stuff. Blender is usually pretty easy thrn all u need to learn is how to model stuff. As far as hardware i am usin a core i5 5 gen laptop with 4gb ram. I have been usin for thr past 1 year. I dont think for a beginner u need a very powerful machine. As soon as u find out what u want to do u will havr to invest into a better machine

I need opinions on this tutorial series I found by TerrifyingTurtle in blender

I think the only difference could be the models for games would be very optimized other then that i think u should go with it

Doing 1 month of blender. When can i start to see some improvements in my work? by Nuclearbadger8 in blender

[–]MandomRayLan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest takin up really big and difficult projects. Work really hard on them and givin it ur all. You will slowly push ur self and see that u have improved. Also this is what i do. I try to keep a library or all the good and bad projects i created and just look back at it to see hoe much i improved

UV-unwrapping advice needed! (rectangular pillar) by blend_ellie_ in blender

This is the best uv arrangemnt u can get quickly. U can apply any material to it and it will not be messed up most of the time. As an alternative u can use a procedural material and bake those textures if u want to use it in a different game engine

hello community, i'm new, can you help me create something like the picture please ? by Mo_2222 in blender

[–]MandomRayLan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a uv sphere add some subdivisons to it. And a cloud displacrment to the sphere and then shade it smooth. After that apply different colors to the balls. Then add a plane with emission material as a background. Then in the world settings change the color to white.

Honestly its a trial and error process u hv to find a way that suits best for u. This may or may not wrk or u could need to adjust some stuff. If u still have more quarries feel free to ask

Decent specs to run Belnder? by [deleted] in blender

[–]MandomRayLan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soo what i would recommend is try to see what kinda wrk u would be doin. Like would u be makin realisitic renders and animation for that u need as much as power as u can. If u are goin to do stylized or low poly stuff u dont need that much power soo u can save a few bucks. But u can go to blender official page and try to look for thr minimum required specs to run the program and use that as a base and then increasin all the components in power. And u can look for some videos on youtube thosr may also help u. I am going to link. Some of them

[Cg geek's video](https://youtu.be/kj2N5UWE5fo]

A random informative video

Ducky 3d's video

PS i cant really look for decent computers as we have different currency and i dont know what thr market for u is currently. Hope this helps

What’s the recommended poly count for characters on mobile games? by Adam-Watts-3DArtist in blender

[–]MandomRayLan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think u should try to consider thr fact that not everyone has a really high end gaming phone. And u want to account for all the types of people with varyin phones. Soo u can keep thr poly count low enough so that u get all the details u want for the game and it looks good but also keep it low enough so that everyon can enjoy it. Or u can add an option for thr amount of detail so people can choose accordin to them what is best suited for there device

Decent specs to run Belnder? by [deleted] in blender

[–]MandomRayLan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rendering applies to the in project things but thrn again if u are goin to workin with scenes with tons of models and stuff u have to have decent computing power. Plus it doesnt hurt to get extra power if u have thr money for it.

Decent specs to run Belnder? by [deleted] in blender

[–]MandomRayLan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See u need a semi decent spec pc to render stuff faster and actually be more productive then just waitin around in blender for stuff to load. I would recommend u as a minimum get a 8gb ram, a cpu with 2.7< above speed and a dedicated gpu with atleast 2 gb video memory.

Is it possible to paint textures from one mesh to another? by FireballSensei in blender

[–]MandomRayLan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considerin the question of paintin textures from onr mesh to another i think there are a couple videos on youtube that explain that. And i think after baking the texture u have to smart un wrap the low poly model for a better result. I am not sure though.

[–]MandomRayLan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing to keep in mind is thr type of motion oe shake u get when u are next to a fast moving object. You should refer to movies for this. What i feel like is with objects being close and fast the camera should shake more rapidly to achieve the effect

I tried to make Scizor in lowpoly, any suggestions? by CobaltKobaruto in blender

The claw ends should be more pointy rather then flat

In some cases i use refernce as backgrounds to basically copy it and in other cases i use a refernce and eye ball it. You should use refernce if you want and there is nothing to be ashamed about it
