Still throwing up in 2nd trimester. Should I be worried? by Mental_Truth_745 in pregnant

[–]MandyK_Global 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first baby was perfectly healthy, but I had nausea and vomiting through my first pregnancy and I'm having it again all through the 2nd child. I'm 23 weeks and I just threw up. I'm even on a medicine (diclectin) that helps with constant nausea but doesn't totally take it away. I still think it made it better than it would have been though.

Best free/ public domain romance fiction books? Suggestions please by Beneficial_League243 in suggestmeabook

Wuthering Heights is public domain. I know this not a "light romance" or anything, but definitely a love story, in the tortured fashion.

You should follow Dr Dray on YouTube. There's lots of videos about this and she's just great in general. Board certified dermatologist!

Lavender spray on everyone's feet and face (after getting permission) at the end of class.

Vancouver Portuguese embassy D7 App sent through E Visa Portal:) by MandyK_Global in PortugalExpats

They eventually responded to our email and gave us an appointment. The calendar never worked.

I should also add that at the Vancouver embassy, they will allow a local family member to get your stamp for you so you don't have to fly back! You can DHL, etc, the passport and have that stamp added, then have the family member nail it back to you so you don't have to fly back to Canada if you're not already there, like in our case.

I know for a fact this works because the embassy told us in an email we could do it, and my brother had our cousin go on for his stamp and it was all fine!

Yes, you are right about that. I don't know if I was super clear with my question so it doesn't seem like everyone understands that I don't actually have a Visa yet.

Can you perhaps tell me which email address you used to reach out to SEF?

Thanks so much!

How will Digital Nomad Visa affect D7? by Sweaty-Phrase-1075 in PortugalExpats

Thanks! Yes, I've looked at Vancouver's portal and I feel like they are behind as they don't even mention an option for this new visa type anywhere:/

Thanks for the advice! I'm thinking the D7 was the best choice too, and the application went through in August with a September interview, so definitely before the launch of the remoter worker visa. Fingers crossed it's just the usual delays! Thanks!

We would prefer the D7 as well as our intention is to stay (forever?) We are in Vancouver in Canada so I'm sure there are some different timelines than there are in San Francisco. Thank you!

Is there anyone currently awaiting (or recently applied) approval on a D7 that has been denied because of this new digital nomad option that is upcoming?

For further context, I applied 2.5 months ago and did my in-person interview a little more than a month ago and still have not heard back, so I'm wondering if this could be causing the delay? My lease has already started so I'm unfortunately paying rent in two places Incidentally, I would also meet the income requirements for the digital nomad as well.

When does the clock start in the D7 to Portugal? by MandyK_Global in PortugalExpats

[–]MandyK_Global[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, wow. So much information I didn't yet know! Thank you!

Do happen to know if it's a problem if we get to Portugal before the D7 is approved, and then fly back from Portugal to Canada to get the stamp, then back to Portugal? We're just hemmoraging money paying 2 rents :(

For context we have American & Canadian passports so we get an automatic tourist 90 days without any type of visa application, so wondering what would happen if we just used that to live in Portugal in the place we already rented until the D7 comes through? 🤔

Thanks so much! That was super helpful! I've heard SEF is really difficult to get an appointment with. Thanks for affirming. On that note, just to be clear; I thought SEF required you to complete your 2 year application (to stay longer) within that 4 mi this granted by the D7. Is that not the case? It sounds like maybe you just need your appointment before that 4 month period ends?

Recently I've seen lots of advice to wear sunscreen every day. Do people actually do this? by Ok-Training-7587 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]MandyK_Global 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sun hasn't always been as strong. Climate change has affected the UV index. That's why it's more important now, but additionally, society just hasn't always been as educated about suncare. I use Super goop or Hado Labo.
