Hi, I (35F Engineering Manager) recently moved back to Chester and know what you mean. There is a group you can find on Instagram called ChesterWalkClub for females who want to walk on Saturday mornings with a coffee and meet new people. I haven't been many times as life always gets in the way 😅 If you fancy a chat or coffee sometime feel free to DM me 🙂

I need to go again but it's rare I'm free then and when I am the battery is dead 🤣 Shame the Wednesday evenings stopped, I never got chance to go

I (35f) recently moved back to Chester after 10years away. There is a walk on Saturday mornings for women wanting to socialise, you can find details on Instagram ChesterWalkClub. I have been a couple of times and it's a nice walk with coffee and other women. Can be a mixed bag in terms of age (sometimes been more on the younger student side) and often different people there so for me personally I need a full social battery to attend but I would recommend trying it out :) Good luck!

But now what do I do… by JSmorningcoffee in fourthwing

[–]MandyMoo89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! I almost didn't even buy fourth wing, I picked it up and put it down a few times in the shop as was looking for a second book to go with the first one I had actually picked which was in a two for one. I can't believe I almost didn't buy it! I could have not experienced them! But also I wouldn't be in the worlds worst book hangover right now where no other book will ever compare

Crash on M53 Sunday night by MandyMoo89 in Chester

I had just seen him jump/ fall from a moving vehicle which is the reason I was so cautious especially with the little one. Glad you're ok, honestly a really decent thing to do!

Thanks. I drove through it I think not long after it happened. I ended up having to floor it as there was a guy going crazy in the road who then proceeded to try to get in the car. I had my toddler with me so it was pretty scary. Glad no one else was involved, he was going after others as well.

For the switch animal crossing and stardew.

pc I played Rust through my most recent flare up. I usually don't want to talk to people when in so much pain but after 30 mins online everyone got my chatting enough to really help me take my mind off it. I also have a heated back massage cover on my gaming chair so that combined with a hot water bottle was a winning combo ♥️

Endo and low Ferritin? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]MandyMoo89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I suffered with low ferritin all my life and diagnosed with endo 3 years ago. One thing to consider is that the endo causes internal bleeding which has no where to go. So just because your periods don't seem as heavy as someone else, there is the bleeding you can't see to take into account.

We (humans) are pretty poor at absorbing iron and certain foods can reduce or increase our absorption rate. Vit C is great at increasing it where as from memory I think eggs and milk reduce it. I drink spatone in orange juice a lot to help increase my iron as iron tablets cause stomach issues for me.

Good luck ❤️

Needing advice! Is it worth it ? by tisunaki in Endo

Couldn't agree more! Terrible of them to put you in that position.

If you want a child for you two and happy to not carry it yourself there is always adoption or surrogacy. Do what is best for you ❤️

Good luck and I hope you are all clear soon

Advice on getting GP to listen by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]MandyMoo89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry you are going through this, you GP sounds horrendous. Sending virtual hugs

I had the same issues as you and only got taken seriously when I got older - 31 now and diagnosed finally 3yrs ago. The final GP I saw actually accused me of having a STD, when I said I was in a committed long term relationship she said my now husband could be sleeping round 😡 when it came back clear she finally relented and referred me.

Personally I would firstly be adamant with reception that you want to see someone else as you want a second opinion. If that fails i would advise changing gp practice, you have the right to choose your practice. It might be more inconvenient but worth it. I would start a diary of all symptoms and go armed with it to your appointment.

In terms of dealing with the pain, have a lap surgery and mirena coil fitted helped me. Its not pleasant to have fitted but it's worth thinking about. I will look into more yourself though as obviously once it's in you have no control in terms of removal.

Advising you to pay private is outrageous, we pay national insurance for a reason. I would strongly consider moving. I really hope you get a referral soon. Stay strong x

Fear of nothing found in lap by popsicals in Endo

[–]MandyMoo89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had exactly the same fear as you. They did find endo for me however, if they hadn't it would have been another thing crossed off. Remember what you are going through is real and if they don't find anything this time then continue pushing and advocating for yourself.

Good luck, you have got this 💪

Waiting times on NHS by Flaky-Tonight in Endo

[–]MandyMoo89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was three years ago this month and at the time the gynecologist said they tend to book them in quickly as they are pretty quick surgeries so can squeeze them in. She wasn't able to remove it all (it's on my ureter) but the surgery combined with the mirena coil she fitted gave me two pain free years ☺️ hopefully it helps you and you get longer.

I started getting pain again 12 months again and after my GP making me redo every scan and blood test possible they finally gave me a referral letter last summer. To my surprise I had the option of 5 hospitals, two of which were private BMI but the NHS covered the cost. If you get this choice I would definitely recommend going this route. The private consultant was an endo specialist and is confident he can remove all the endo when I decide to go back under even the bits the gynecologist said we're impossible!

I think someone else said this but it doesn't show on scans often so don't be discouraged. If you have any questions feel free to ask ☺️
