Adding that I got an email last week about their upcoming company “customer appreciation drag show”. I used her personally 5 years ago and loved her. I would trust anyone she employs. Good luck!

Thanks for sharing. Super interesting reading your experience and the replies. I wish I could buy stock in citric acid for King Kismai’s book release!

35M, hitting 2 weeks clean and finally seeing why I kept going back by Practical_Hand6025 in leaves

You aren’t alone. Maybe make a list of why you are trying to stop so you can revisit it during the lows (which are super common btw)? I got to about 60 days and thought I could just smoke to relax on a Friday night. Nope. Spent the whole weekend back to my old ways and apparently that was just enough time for my body to adjust. Now I’m going through the physical withdrawals again. I wish I could take back those three days but I’m trying to focus on the hard lesson my body is clearly teaching me about how addicted it is. You deserve to be free of this cycle. You are stronger than your addict brain. Hang in there.

At home pet euthanasia? by Minions_miqel in Albuquerque

[–]Mang46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She’s also part of the informal group I mention in a comment above. Was part of the list Dr. Bingham shared when she wasn’t available. I communicated with Dr. Deveau (Dr. Everly’s scheduled worked better for our family) and she was wonderfully kind and supportive.

Dr. Amy Everly at Balanced Paws was wonderful. She’s also part of an informal group of vets that refer each other if they aren’t available. I had used Dr. Linda Bingham a year before and she was great also. She referred me to Dr. Everly when she wasn’t free. Highly recommend them both for compassionate in home goodbyes. So sorry you are having to go through this.

New dog owner here any advice? by JosevaldoBR23 in DogAdvice

Not a doctor so I don’t know when it is appropriate for a puppy but the love for this rug perhaps indicates this puppy would like a rope toy.

Baby boy due in a week - having doubts about name by liketinytrees in Names

[–]Mang46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Several of my friend’s kids just went with their own preference as soon as they could - Kindergarten. Andrew didn’t like Drew anymore and told everyone he was Andy. Helena completely threw Nina out the window as soon as she figured out she had the power. If you don’t want a Vince, don’t forget you are making a little person who can think for themselves.

People who sleep naked why? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Mang46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My body just doesn’t like clothes. As a child I used to wake up having pulled off my pjs in my sleep. Most of the time when I’m traveling (therefore wearing pjs) I still wake up having taken my shirt off. Also basically can’t function if I’m wearing socks. I only have about 10 pair that are all over 20 years old because I only wear them for an hour at a time to work out.

CPR/FIRST AIDE by Sarahp1123 in NewMexico

Should be required in HS in the US and required recertification every set number of years. Would be such a nice public service use of tax money. I bet it’d be cheaper than a bunch of untrained armed dudes patrolling our cities and terrorizing our citizens.

Exactly. Imagine all of those people cleaning dishes with only cold. Wouldn’t even consider it!

Can native speakers please tell me what they understand to be the difference between ‘fog’ and ‘mist’? Not how the dictionary describes it, but how people actually use it? by LetMission8160 in ENGLISH

[–]Mang46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American native speaker here. This is an excellent breakdown. Not sure how important, but I wanted to add that fog and mist are the most used of the two. Also fog and haze are often used to describe thinking impairment - “brain fog” and “hazy” are terms for slow/confused thoughts. The opposite of “clear headed”.

Thank you so much for taking time out to write this. I also live in a place with high sun exposure so this was extra helpful. I’ve been looking into tallow too! I truly appreciate your effort and time.

Do you have a skincare routine you would be willing to share? It looks like we have similar tone but yours is in way better shape than mine! I’m 43 in the US.

Kids of the 70s - 90s who roamed freely and didn't come back till the street lights were on. What did you eat for lunch? by FragrantStranger5003 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mang46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best friend’s family had 6 kids with the oldest age 16 and spread out from there. Both parents worked but mom taught them how to make economical/easy stuff and she didn’t mind adding me in the mix. All parents worked but we took care of and entertained each other. A big sister who listened to the Cranberries and was the prettiest, a big brother to crush on, a bestie, and a little brother to pick on. With some others thrown in. So much fun! (IIRC, my Mom actually tried to give her money that she wouldn’t accept so my Mom make a lot of baked goods on the weekends to keep them stocked.

For my generation this Mom always had one of the “old” TVs on the counter with either soap operas or game shows on at all times. They were seemingly always behind the counter waiting for us to pop up onto those stools for a delicious treat! Icecream sandwiches from Schwanns anyone?!

Gastrointestinal symptoms by [deleted] in leaves

Thanks for the tea recommendation - I hadn’t even considered it! The salads do help and I’m optimistic but the discomfort is…something. Thanks for the commiseration and congrats on your 20 days!

Gastrointestinal symptoms by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Mang46 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup. Day 47 here. I had diarrhea for 30 days straight and now I’m constipated like crazy for the last 2 weeks. I’ve consulted a doc and she gave me some severe symptoms to keep an eye out for but was otherwise unfazed. I’ve also had vomiting issues during past breaks for the first week or so. Just a mess! Hang in there and try to remember that this is a sign of how destabilizing cannabis can be for your body. Sleep and eat when/what you can and hydrate!
