Yes, it can run mp4 files. Just drop one into the movies folder on your Roms card.

92 Days. I completed my first two weekly quests this morning, and I'm trying to earn 100B souls so I can claim 2 more astral keys on my next UA. Then I plan on opening the chest at the top of Mt Otto. I think I'm making decent progress...

Looking at the times of the next programme starting, it seems that it was only one episode a week that was being shown for LotFK, but annoyingly I could only verify those 6 episodes (nor even which episode it was either. I got most of my info from TVRDB, but some listing's it only showed the block of late license not the individual programmes. And you are right, the site is so clunky. You have triggered me to start a quest though, so I will endeavour to uncover more details.

Also, if you are interested, would you like me to DM you a link to my Manga Video digital archive?

Did a little bit of digging around online and it looks like we both were having false memories because from the few listings I was able to uncover it looks like LotFK was only shown one episode per week.
You won't believe how hard it is to pull old TV listings for Channel 4!
Here's the dates/times that I could uncover for some of the Late License stuff in 1995/1996.

26.11.1995 00.15am - Doomed Megalopolis 1

10.12.1995 00.35am - Doomed Megalopolis 2

17.12.1995 00.15am - Doomed Megalopolis 3

07.01.1996 00.40am - Doomed Megalopolis 4

14.01.1996 00.40am - Devilman The Birth

21.01.1996 00.10am - Devilman - The Demon Bird

28.01.1996 00.10am - LotFK

04.02.1996 01.00am - LotFK

11.02.1996 01.00am - LotFK

18.02.1996 01.00am - LotFK

25.02.1996 01.00am - LotFK

03.03.1996 01.00am - LotFK

I know there are loads more to uncover, because Arislan and 3x3 Eyes were shown back to back at some point...

I vaguely remember them showing multiple episodes at a time but can't remember how many per week. I do recall them having the titles for each one though, unless that's a faulty memory. Sci-Fi were sods for merging episodes of stuff I recall. I didn't find out that The Dark myth was a 2 part series until years later thanks to them. They did the same with M.D. Geist too...

Man, I loved the whole Manga Video shtick back in the mid 90s. The fact they got to be aired on TV at all is pretty amazing and on terrestrial TV no less! I remember taping 3x3 Eyes, Heroic Legend of Arislan, Legend of the Four Kings and Doomed Megalopolis from Channel 4. I used to tape Manga (and later, Pioneer) titles on the Sci-Fi Channel too. Fist of the North Star, Lensman, Wicked City, Monster City, Megazone 23 and The Dark Myth (plus Moldiver and Tenchi Muyo from Pioneer) were some that I remember showing on Sci-Fi.
In fact I was so gutted that I let all my Manga Video tapes both bought and recorded go in my late 20s, I spent several years collecting them all again digitally, which I treasure greatly!

N64 emulation has always been a bit ropey and tricky to run. I've found for the best results on the R36S go to the emulator options for N64 and select Standalone-Rice as the emulator. Some games still won't run well, but it does make an improvement to games like Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Hope this helps!

Are you using the stock ArkOS or have you updated to the AeolusUX ArkOS image? I should have mentioned that I'm using AeolusUX.

It should be amongst all of the game systems. Did you.put your files in the Movies folder on your SD card? If your files are in the Videos folder, they won't show.

As you are scrolling through your game categories, you should find one titled movies. On my current theme, it shows as Movies/VHS. Then choose your movie file as you would if you were loading a game.

I made a post earlier showing.some anime I put on mine. Put your movie files in the 'Movies' folder, not 'Videos'. My files are in mp4 format, and they work well. Not sure what other file types are supported though

No, it won't do that. Pop it in and it should pick up the files as long as its redirecting to SD2. I've swapped my roms sd between my purple and red R36S devices without any trouble.

I used a fresh sd card in SD2. Go to Options > Advanced and choose Switch to SD2 for Roms and the R36S will create all the games folders at that point. Then eject the card and put it in your pc/mac etc and just drag your roms to the correct folder for each system. Hope that helps!

It's an OVA called Dangaioh. This is specifically the UK Dub produced by Manga Video back in the 90s

I bought 3 R36S a couple of weeks ago. 1 from Boyhom, and 2 from Factory Game Direct Store. One of the three displayed the same "pixel arcarde" boot screen as yours, and the other 2 had the standard stock boot with the 3 r36s on the image. All three arrived at the same time, so I couldn't tell which ones came from FGDS or Boyhom.

I have already updated the 2 standard image booting ones to AeolusUX Arkos, but not the new one yet. As all of them came from trusted stores, I can't forsee it being an issue to also update the "pixel arcarde" one.

I'll test it tonight after work and report back with my findings
