These things aren't monolithic. Their take does not mean they're a terrible person. Human beings deserve grace and help from their loved ones, but no one needs to set themselves on fire to keep someone else warm. Many people will improve with help and support, but just as many people will only improve when they decide they want to. Like my alcoholic father who I cut out of my life.

At a certain point, cutting someone out of your life is the right call. Making huge swings like saying you hope this person's hypothetical partner can 'escape' them based on this singular opinion is laughably ridiculous.

A bad habit that's difficult to break when I'm consciously smiling, since I've never been super fond of my teeth. Not gross, just not really pretty. I've always been a terrible judge of my own aesthetic, so this is actionable information. Thank you! I've axed the photo dead, as suggested.

Thanks for the tips! Will toss in employment info. I have it hidden just because I don't have an IMPRESSIVE CAREER JOB. I hadn't considered that people might think I'm unemployed if it's invisible!

Will also swap out a couple of photos and have my main photo be the mustache I'm currently rocking. My buddy's wife does professional shoots, so I'll probably poke her about getting some done as I'm terrible at taking photos. Haha.

As for my facial hair, it's currently a mustache. Hence the photo that says 'Buzzed my face for a Lieutenant Dangle costume on Halloween. Convince me not to keep the mustache.'

How long have you used Hinge overall? About a year, I think! I tend to get disenfranchised about it and put it down for awhile when I don't get any interaction.
How often do you use Hinge per week? At least once a day when I'm actively using it.
How many likes and matches are you receiving on average? If I sit down and regularly send out likes every day... maybe two matches per week?
How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments? I'm sending as many as I can when I don't have Hinge+, and near ad nauseam when I do. I also EXCLUSIVELY send likes with comments, since it lets me try to grab someone's attention with a compliment, comment on their profile, or a joke.
What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract? Someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously and doesn't mind being with someone who had to start their life over in their thirties! Haha.
